And yes that's a thing that exists.

A few have.  But so far they all seem to be kind of odd edge cases - like people who don't normally play side gigs like this for a living, but are touring steampunk solo cellists and the like.

There is, however, an existing economy of "professionals who play with touring acts as ringers" already.  In ordinary circumstances, these'd be the people she'd get at shows.  But because she has a willing fanbase, she's bypassing that, and consequently it's now a gig nobody's getting.

I'm surprised there was no reference to ep303, The Jose Piquer-directed ET-meets-slasher film "Pod People."

Glenn Close singing was…interesting.  I'm guessing she was singing "in character" becasue AFAIK she can actually sing.  If memory serves she was in "Up With People" ("Hooray for Everything") when she was young.

"This scene was filmed on location…"

How do you sleep at night?

I'm surprised NBC didn't grab that in advance.  Networks usually do that with domain names: q.v. Conan's "Hornymanatees.com" after a one-off joke on an episode.  And the Simpsons with whatbadgerseat.com and all that.

"My job's my wife now.  Loneliness, my mistress.  Despair, my sex buddy.  Angst is this chick I met online that later turned out to be a dude."

See, that line bothered me, because as much as I think a rap lyric about NPR is dope as hell, everyone knows that Neal Conan hosts TOTN and Terry Gross hosts Fresh Air.

I recently re-watched a few Muppet eps, and was absolutely floored by the attention to detail they paid on any segments requiring a muppet to play a musical instrument. Yeah, they had limitations, like the aforementioned inability to move fingers and the fact that every guitarist, bassist and bajo player was

And let's not forget the holiday specials, like "I'm Afraid It's Malignant, Charlie Brown."

Jared Leto.

This.

It's like Chekhov's gun.  Moffat's question. The show has been scrupulously avoiding actually asking that particular question for 50 years.  So now that they bring it up, forefront…well, yeah, if they just ask it, sure, that covers the pedantic part of the prophecy.

Can you really expect them to ask the question dramatically without trying to answer it?
