I think Pete's actually better off now (like his mom, only still alive; heh!):
…He doesn't have to deal with Bob Benson daily, as he would if they were in Detroit together.
…Ken's experience with GM showed those guys are unreasonable, even dangerous.  So if harm comes to anyone out there, who better than Bob Benson?
…Pete

Hell's bells, Trudy!

Talk about changing the conversation!  About making butter out of margarine. About…(you get my drift).

We've seen Don make dinner and breakfast. But never a holiday meal. If he took the kids to PA for Thanksgiving, it's easy to presume they could eat out, or if staying in a hotel, eat at its restaurant or order room service. If they returned to Don's condo in NYC for dinner, they could order in (or pick up) a catered

Yes, Abigail!
Yes, Cub!

Peggy reminds me of a real-life professional woman I know named S., who judges men's behavior according to how it makes her feel but totally overlooks the way said men treat others or the way her relationships with them affect others.

RE: HAVING DECISIONS
Peggy was presented with various done deals that affected her significantly but from whose decision-making stages she was excluded. Huge example: the merger. The way she learned about it would have pissed me off to no end.

I'm curious about what it was that made Brooks' business plan unappealing, since refrigerated transport was a recognized, needed service. [See http://en.wikipedia.org/wik….] The problem was never specified, but Roger and Brooks' short interaction and Margaret's ("you're taking food out of our mouths")

I can see both sides now.  [pun intended]

Task #1 (learned from Ted Chaough): Dump the liquor cart.  Have it wheeled in when there's company, then wheeled away.

@MISTER - The only mention I recall of Phyllis, post-merger, was Peggy's saying, "As long as I get to keep Phyllis."  Then, pfft!  Nada. Zilch.

Loved the back of the head shot, cementing the image of Peggy as Don's successor. But I thought Stan had said Dawn was fired. (And we never saw or heard from Peggy's Phyllis after the merger.) However, as I posted earlier, there's some bittersweetness (like Hershey's Cocoa Bittersweet Chocolate) to Peggy's

But, the children!

Manolo IS the fly.  A Spanish fly.  Spanish from Spain.

Loved Stan's reaction to the Sheraton suicide ad.  Hate the idea of Stan and Peggy becoming more than friends.

- "…just stay away from the one who knocks."

Don's dressed like the husband in Rosemary's Baby. Tom & Lorenzo provide photos of same over at their Mad Style post about this episode.

Ah…I missed that. But it fits. Good call.

@ Dobber - following up Cub, with feeling -

Betty's got two:
…Punched (or shoved) Don; Don shoved back.
…Bitch slapped Helen Bishop in the produce aisle.
