My poor mum chose to tune in to "The Walking Dead" TV series for the first time this ep.  I'd warned her wouldn't like it, because she'd have no context or sense of character development;  that it's better to start at the beginning, but she tuned in, anyway. (Rather an Andrea move.)

As do we no-comics/TV-only viewers.

Blake. Phillip Blake.

That bugs me, too.  And Rick's group passed them TWICE on his roundtrip to/from the prison.  Unbelievable!

Somewhere, over the rainbow.

Exactly what I posted above! (Donner Party of 5!)

Initially, I couldn't imagine how Andrea got through law school. But then a light bulb went off: Andrea - like the incompetent archer-girl she bonded with, Haley - is a product of what often goes wrong with modern parenting practices and educational systems: rewarding effort, not results.

Sisterly love is a powerful bond…so the Andrea-Michonne connection isn't necessarily romantic.  I think the writers purposely introduced ambiguity, like a Rorschach test for viewers. Hence, the closed door obscuring Andrea and Michonne's last minutes together.

I merely thought Andrea was the first person Michonne had connected with since the ZA began, and having saved Andrea's life and nursed her through the winter forged a strong sisterly bond on Michonne's side. In contrast, I got the impression that Andrea was used to being taken care of and was a rather self-centered

Blondie blabbered so much she missed her chance to kill herself. As usual, Michonne had to take charge.

Michonne wouldn't allow it!

I read prison::Rick = farm::Hershel.  Rick had to manhandle Hershel to extricate him from the farm, when it was overrun; Hershel will have to return Rick's favor.

Evil Governor's gut-stabbing deluded-til-just-now/former long-term-friend Milton (who turns, and then attacks Andrea) = bizarro version of deluded-til-just-then/former-long-term-friend Rick's gut-stabbing evil Shane (who turns, and then tries to attack Rick).

Anonymousbosch: "but I feel like the Governor arc has run its course."
The Governor: It's over when I say it's over.

Beth's becoming a badass. Her blondeness, her singing, her shooting the gun to pause the action with Merle, her stabbing the walker through the fence — she's become shieldmaiden Brunhilda.

I beg to differ. I think that scenario - coupled with the Morgan interactions - were tipping points for Carl.

Yeah, I expected the hardcore Woodbury goons to set the whole prison afire or something, on the way out. Still might try, under cover of darkness or using some other stealth tactic.

Right on. Without Merle's "contribution" (killing 8 of the Governor's soldiers), yesterday's attack might have ended less favorably for Rick's group.
