Karl Rove is easy to hate, but I used to enjoy his editorials in the Wall Street Journal. They were all super-wonky polling data breakdowns. He may be evil, but he never came across as stupid. After that tantrum he threw in 2012, I just can't take him seriously any more.

Weirdly, this was a big year at the theater for me. Guardians, Grand Budapest Hotel, Edge of Tomorrow, X-Men, Lego Movie, Hercules, Interstellar, Hobbit 3. The last time I saw this many movies in theaters was during that magical period when I was old enough to drive, but not old enough to drink.

My favorite is "praying Calvin." I always wanted to ask a driver of a car with that sticker whether the praying balances out the IP theft.

I laughed. OK, I chuckled.

Exactly. And you'd think cowards would be practical. North Korea cannot do a single (violent) thing about the movie, so who cares how angry they are.

See, this actually makes me want to see it less. I don't want to support bowing to terrorism.
