Interesting.  He gets geek points for listing a Sideshow Bob bit that didn't actually involve him much (well, his gutteral expression of irritation was classic, but it wasn't a full-fledged bit of dialogue) but was more of a visual gag.  He loses geek points for completely failing to get the humor on 30 Rock (but

I'm sorry, what's a TV?

The first commercial I saw for this involved the most annoying romcom cliche of people dancing around a bedroom singing into brushes (or something like that).

Seriously, I was about to say the exact same fucking thing.  I have no idea.

I was just going to post the same thing.  I was wondering if maybe it was a different season premier they meant to indicate, but the context makes it clear that it isn't.  Still, even if Walt is occasionally meaningfully silent in that scene, what most people take away from it is that Gus is completely wordless as he

I don't understand the debate about why Mike is sticking with Walt.  Of COURSE it's so he can replenish the money for his granddaughter and make good for the former Fring guys.  He SAID so.  Explicitly.  He and Walt had a huge fight about it just last episode.  What does your gf think is the reason?  I honestly can't

I agree, and as much as I liked the total without-a-net quality of those episodes, I wouldn't mind a more "structured" show with a clear endgame (somehow Walt will defeat this guy) if they had planned it more in advance so that the villain felt more plausible to me.

Well, my objection was to the fact that the sentence didn't give us any state of mind to correspond to the accordingly. "She knew he would be there, and prepared accordingly" makse sense.  It makes sense to say "She knew he would be there, and prepared in accordance with her knowledge."  What we have instead is

I think the logic was less "anyone knows about the heist must be killed" and more Mike's "there are two kinds of heists:  successful ones, and ones that leave witnesses."  The kid was a witness.

I'm just going to say it — I like the show more without Gus.  This season has returned BB to its best strengths, IMO, because without Gus, we're going back to "I have no idea what will happen next" which is what the show felt like its first two seasons.  There was constantly a sense of "How are they going to keep this
