I actually tried to roll around town listening to this album full blast this summer.  It was an exercise in hilarity.  There's one song that nobody has even mentioned, most likely due to some deeply ingrained sense of shame, called "Lemon Crush".  It is the gayest form of Batman-related entertainment, even gayer than

Haven't seen that.  Micjael Douglas?  Jesse Eisenberg?  Jenna Fischer? Could be pip.  Could be a pip.

I always have to offer my alternate reading of that scene:

The Hitcher was pretty fuckin' gay.  When a straight man says he wants to "tear Jennifer Jason Leigh in half" he's not talking about stinging her up between two trucks and literally tearing here in half.

You've got some good points here.  I'm confused about two of them.  The first one is that if Miller is using a left-wing caricature of Reagan, then how does that read as an attack on the left-wing?  If that's not what you are saying that's cool. I'm actually just tryin to re-interpret this the way other people see it,

Ronald Reagan wasn't a 'villain'.  He was a doddering old man with an itchy trigger finger, but not a villain.

Why can't people separate the art from the artist?  I don't understand this. I mean, I hate Radiohead, but I bear no ill will toward Thomas Yorke (York?).  I hate Katy Perry's music, but I have no problem with her personally. And if there's one area where I do not apply a person's politics to their work, it's COMIC
