I don't think it'll ruin it for all time. The show was fantastic seasons 1-4, and decent after that. The light-hearted, funny episodes will still be great. But episodes like Right Place, Right Time or Lucky Penny are suddenly discoloured. It just kind of crushes the soul out of the show. As another commenter said in

Great write-up. HIMYM has meant so much to me over the years, it is for me what Star Wars is to Ted - I watch it in good times and bad, in sickness and in health. At it's peak, it could do romantic comedy like nobody else. Although quality dropped dramatically after season 4 and the story definitely needs come to an

For me the real drawcard of The Lizzie Bennet Diaries is its portrayal of Lydia. Mary Kate Wiles (who plays Lydia) is a revelation. The episode 'Good Enough' is just Wiles with a 4 min monologue, and it's incredible.

I enjoyed the Harry arc, I thought it was a good through line for the trilogy. The Sandman plot I could do without - which is why I suggested maybe a different Big Bad instead. Or maybe with more time devoted to it, it would be slightly less awful.

The number of villains kind of worries me because I think the main downfall of Raimi's Spider-Man 3 was that it crammed in too many villains and became messy as a result. I would probably have dropped Venom (to use in the next movie) and instead just had Sandman (or another maybe more threatening Big Bad) for Peter

I too would prefer to see a Will/McMob storyline than Blake 2.0. I definitely enjoyed how Will immediately faltered when Damian reacted blankly to his 'LG' name drop. Stop trying to make LG happen, Will. It's not going to happen.

This is good timing, now that I've finished exams it's my goal this holidays to get back into reading. I read heaps when I was younger but I've kind of struggled to find adult authors to latch onto, I tend to just dabble in a certain series or author when I get the time (e.g. the summer of George RR Martin) but then

Speaking from Australian law here, trade mark infringement could occur if Lockhart Gardner's use indicates a connection between LG and the firm. However, like Adam B said, there is low likelihood of confusion so it would be hard to argue. Maybe if LG has its own in-house counsel. Also, I'm not sure how it is in the

Awesome, I tried searching for Disqus on userscripts but for some reason this didn't come up. Thank you!

Because Todd mentioned in it the Newswire and my google-fu is failing me, anyone have a link to a Disqus workaround to load all comments for Firefox? I tried this one but it doesn't appear to be working.

Even Daniel Radcliffe ships them. It feels right.

I've been rewatching season 1 and it's ridiculous how perfect Victoria is for Ted. They're definitely victims of bad timing. If they had met before he met Robin, there isn't any doubt she would be the mother.

I'm not sure why there is all this vitriol for The Mindy Project happening in the comments here. It's not the best but it's decent. I mainlined the first season a few weeks ago and even though it was a bit messy I really enjoyed it. The second season has been kind of disappointing so far though.

Ditto. I like dating and being friends with more extrovert-y types, just so they bring me out of my shell and get me to do things I otherwise wouldn't do.

Ugh, remembering that Yale revoked Blair's acceptance (or almost every storyline on Gossip Girl since Season 2) still annoys me. I'm not sure why the writers decided they were averse to Blair being happy.

Finish it! There's no getting around it, the first few episodes are pretty bad, but it gradually improves. I actually think it hits its stride about halfway through the season and is pretty solid from then on. Plus, you've got to watch the finale.

Confessions Part II by Usher. Early-2000s pop is kind of my weakness.

Absolutely this. I wish the show had delved a little more into Rory's feelings about Christopher. He dangles the prospect of him and Lorelai getting back together, and him finally being present in her life - then bails without even saying goodbye to her to look after some other kid. His justification is that he has a

Same time as me. At that point I had pretty much given up on it ever happening, so I was pleasantly surprised.
