I don't like going into this last 8-episode block of Fringe blind, not knowing if I should be looking at them as the last run of the series, or the last chunk of Fringe before a few months of hiatus. I just want some news about it, one way or the other. At the very least, it BETTER come before the finale. I need to

Happy Endings followed immediately by Revenge is what makes Wednesdays bearable.

Funniest Penny on TV.

Penny's story about the cockatoo and the clementine made me LOL. Her delivery was perfect, as usual.

I like Life of the Party, it was pretty funny as I recall. Did not care for 'Cautionary Tale' at all, but honestly I don't remember much of it, I was pretty bored. If I ever do an Angel rewatch I'll make sure to pay more attention.

I was pretty certain that was a man in that picture.

I feel the same way. But I love Fringe and want to keep watching it. Also, the writers have said that they have plans for a fifth season should it get renewed, and they're going to continue with the fourth season under the assumption they'll be getting one no matter how unlikely. Kind of like how they went ahead and

Hurley's already been on Fringe in a weird, forgettable cameo. But I think we'd be willing to take Sam Neill if they're not using him.

Ahhhh!! It's dripping funny-smelling water all over me!!

I'm hoping Fox gives the axe to Alcatraz, if only because I don't think they'd cut their three sci-fi shows all at once, leaving Fringe to hopefully get a conclusive final season. But I'm not counting on it. They could reasonably leave both on the air, too, but odds are at least one is getting chopped.

Also, hey Fox, give some of that budget to Fringe!

Snap

This is the least shocking thing to ever happen.

Breakout Kings? Isn't one of the McPoyles in that show? I couldn't possibly take it seriously.

It definitely gets better as it goes along. The middle section is good, but not as good as some previous Angel (I'm a huge Season 4 fan). But yeah, the final third is up there with some of the best of the universe.

Is it underrated? I was under the impression it was very well regarded. It's probably my favorite Angel episode.

Season 5 is great, and along with 4 were what really convinced me this show is worthwhile. It only really picks up at the end, though. That final streak is something else. Smile Time/A Hole in the World could be the best back-to-back pair of episodes in Angel, or even the Buffyverse as a whole. Excellent stuff.

I'll watch the pilot, but I don't have much tolerance for crime procedurals so I don't think I'll continue after that. Maybe if it gets good I'll catch up, but I doubt it'll be on the air long enough for that to happen. But I do want to see this magnificently splendiferous pilot everyone's talking about, that's for

And how could I forget the mini-triathlon? I swear this show is made up entirely of "Stray Observations" moments.

I was similarly unimpressed with Max's reasons for taking a break with Grant. It was obviously and, like you said, unearned. BUT, this episode made me laugh out loud a lot, more than the last few episodes of this show have at least (and I've loved them too), so it gets props for that.
