The jingoism (if you can even rightly call it that) of "The Flame" didn't bother me as much as how deeply jarring the shift in mood was from your typical "Animaniacs" sketch.

Holy sh*t, this show is real?  I swear, when I saw someone Tweeting about it earlier this morning, I honestly thought they were either making it up or that they had stumbled upon one of those bizarre forgotten sitcoms from the '60s local stations throw on at three in the morning to punish insomniacs!

It's not only that, this is a Christmas song that is very obviously written for children.  Like, only very young children should sing it.  Only very young children *can* sing it and get away with it.  No grown-ass adult has any reason to sing a song with the line, "Pa-RUM-pa-pum-POM!!!" and expect to make it through.
