Speaking of, anyone know if there's a reason why some stations ran a version of "Waterfalls" that excised Lefteye's rap completely? A few of them still do this and it seems a little… wrong.

"Space Jam"
That's the context I first heard it in too. And it was all because (a not insane, I must note) somebody whose dorm shared a common room with mine rented it and watched it dozens of times with people who'd never seen it seemingly all night long while I was suffering insomnia. My exact memory of this might be fuzzy,…
I would like to watch this movie.
"films that take little but title and character names from the book"
Okay show of hands (or "likes" I guess): Who else completely forgot everything about this series until Nathan mentioned the dude floating at the very end of the first page?
Thank you for embedding that "King and I" clip. I'd have never believed that anything like that could exist if I hadn't seen it.
I want to play video games in front of Lana DelRey out of spite. She'd probably be astonished that women enjoy them too.
That's bizarre since the venerable Mugar Omni Theater in Boston's Museum of Science was originally advertised as an "Omnimax" and it's curved screen is head-explodingly huge.
My favorite part was learning that the Dino DeLaurentis "King Kong" won a Golden Globe.
Dear Angry "The Killing" fans.
Having just recently seen the film in question (and it took me a few minutes to realize I wasn't just looking at a creepy puppet or something), it'd have to be closer to an "Oh, God, WHAT?!?" button.
"I've Got You Under My Skin"was included on the aforementioned "Muppet Weird Stuff" video and of all the demented and potentially scary segments they collected, this is the only one that truly wrecked me as a kid. There's something about the soothing music played against the sight of someone being eaten alive and……
It absolutely is. For me, it doesn't really feel like Halloween until I hear Vincent Price and the Muppet monsters singing about the power of friendship.
"the time of humans is coming to an end. We are entering the age of the dino-men!"
I was just about to say something similar. The Simpsons have always looked bizarre in 3D as have Ren and Stimpy. And having recently visited Disney World, I can confirm that Phineas and Ferb are *horrifying* as costumed characters (though curiously, Perry makes it out okay).
Both versions of the cover art for "Rubber Duckie" will haunt me for the rest of my days.
And the accompanying song is quite possibly the Greatest Thing Ever: http://youtu.be/AUkoLMbeuoQ
That's precisely what I was thinking too.
Ah, yes, excellent point about cable. All told, it was probably a combination of readily available high-quality cartoons on cable and terrible lineups on the networks. (Fixed the date.)
