It's a very pretty film and I love what Glen Keane does with Long John Silver.  Thing is, I'm with "Treasure Planet" up until we are introduced to the character who communicates entirely in fart noises.  Which is a scene that perfectly indicates where Disney Feature Animation was at the time.

I have seen "FLCL".  I have seen "End of Evangelion".  And on one restless crazy night, I saw "Dead Leaves".

Mmmm… closest one I can think of there is "Cities of Gold", conveniently available on Netflix Instant.

So at this rate, we'll be getting our Year/World of Flops Animation Festival ("Monkeybone", "Osmosis Jones", "Titan A.E.", and "Treasure Planet") in….. three years I guess?

What about that one episode of "Sliders" from the 1996 season where they basically gave up?  (There were episodes ripping off everything from "Twister" to "The Island of Dr. Moreu".)

I remember vividly having to explain the letterbox bars to my aunt, who thought "widescreen" somehow meant what we'd call "Pan-and-scan", among other things.  That was an awkward conversation.

Is the "Baby Geniuses" sequel more than or less than or AS inexplicable as the "Cats and Dogs" sequel?  Discuss.

Don't forget "The Noozles"!  Man, that show was nuts for a kid on antibiotics.

Without a doubt the best meta-humor in the whole series.

So is this our first episode in the "Ordinary inanimate objects take on a malevolent sentience and ruin somebody's life" mold?  (Not sure if "What You Need" counts there.)

Angry 1930's jungle movie gorillas or big photos of real gorillas just sitting around, hanging out and eating leaves?

The person who points out that this movie isn't by Disney.

I do recall reading that _The Lorax_ is effectively a banned/challenged book in areas where logging in old growth forests is, for some reason, still a thing that is allowed to happen.

(Tries to write some lyrics for "There Is A Main Deflector Array That Never Goes Out".  Gets as far as "Beam me up toni-i-ight".  Realizes Morrisey is impossible to parody.)

I just remember that after UPN was starting to pull in numbers via "Moesha" and other teen-sitcoms, that started a rumor of a "Starfleet Academy" series for *years*.  I don't even care if it was never even a real idea anyone had, I still want it.

Yes, "Flash Forward", I did forget (damn show blew it's load in the first episode and never recovered).  But as for "Terra Nova", well just look at my link.

"two 'Sub Rosas' for the price of one"

"The people who are actually able to do something with this thing I like aren't doing what *I* would have done with it!  WAAAAAHHH!"

That bastard of a Muppet ruined "I Got You Under My Skin" forever for me.

If there is a Master List of childhood-destroying moments out there, the "Bluebird of Happiness" scene has got to be near the top of it.
