Please know I deeply appreciate the caption compliment (and agree about the font thing). Getting those screenshots took freaking forever, but then I became weirdly invested in it so I'm glad you enjoyed them.

Very consistent face bruises, very inconsistent power drill foot injuries.
I didn't love the final rooftop fight, but that moment where Matt keeps angrily walking towards Nobu, knowing Frank is going to shoot the ninja coming up behind him is all kinds of fantastic.
Nah, I've decided Claire deserves better. Matt brings too much unnecessary drama.
You mean they're… Divergent?
But weren't the cops already after Frank because he, you know, killed 32 people, massacred a cellblock, and then broke out of prison? Maybe killing a D.A. would increase the heat, but in what world does the death of Karen Page make the NYPD say, "Okay, now we really gotta catch this guy."
Thanks!
Spin-off where Frank Castle gets a relationship advice talk show and unexpectedly becomes a nationally beloved celebrity, a role he begrudgingly accepts.
To me Fisk's defining trait is awkwardness, not rage. So I think maybe what you're (fairly) seeing as a weakness of D'Onofrio's performance is a strength for me.
She also could've tried a better tactic than "I won't be friends with you anymore." Maybe emphasize that the Colonel has kids too. Or explain that no one person was at fault for the shootout? IDK, pull it together Karen!
I think I first learned that via a Charlie Cox interview I listened to, which was fun.
And Splinter is supposed to be a, well, splinter of Stick right?
What makes Fisk interesting to me are his insecurities. I agree he often manipulates people w/ his more docile/refined act, but I never got the sense that he was, say, faking his nervousness with Vanessa on their dates.
Definitely could've been. I don't really remember.
But are we supposed to doubt the idea that Frank's family really did get killed in the crossfire of a random gang shootout? Even Fisk says "hundreds of people fired bullets that day" or something. I got the sense that Blacksmith's crime was not showing up, which resulted in the gun fight.
Eh, there were no plot threads/questions left open for me to eagerly anticipate in the finale. Other than the Hand/Black Sky stuff, I guess, and I didn't really care about that.
He definitely could be a goon, it's pretty open ended. Frank wanted him to be Blacksmith (like he wanted that guy on the boat to be Blacksmith) so he could get closure, but I don't think anyone officially confirmed it.
But I think Matt already knew that information by then? The Stick line comes right at the end of the episode, and Elektra and Matt had already talked about the fact that they met because Stick asked her to watch him.
Hmmm, yes this kind of makes sense except I don't even think Blacksmith actually intentionally arranged the shooting (unless there's a larger conspiracy that hasn't been revealed yet). By not showing up to the meeting he made all the gangs antsy and they started shooting.
If that's the case (which it very well might be), it's super weird that Frank learns about Blacksmith while in prison and doesn't immediately go to confront his old drug lord friend as soon as he escapes.
