Man, I agree with all of this! Why is this conversation the first time Stick has ever told Matt about The Hand/The Chaste/the War? Isn't that his main purpose in life? Why didn't this come up when Matt was a kid or at least in Stick's S1 visit?

Does Luke ever date Misty Knight in the comics? I know she's in the upcoming series too. I definitely feel like they're going to keep Luke/Jessica apart for a bit.

No worries! I was mostly using it in a tongue-in-cheek way anyway. I don't find the Matt/Elektra stuff totally egregious, but in general I find her push/pull between good and evil to be boring. And watching Matt repeat, "There's good inside you" after we just saw her slit a helpless teenager's throat a couple episodes

And he has his own theater company! And he used to play semi-professional baseball in Russia! Wikipedia truly is an incredible place.

The only hardcore Defenders Universe couple I really stan for is Luke/Jessica. Everyone else I can take or leave.

Wait did Schoonover offer Frank the chance to join his drug smuggling gang? If so, wouldn't that have made Frank suspicious of Schoonover way soon?

I don't know, his constant refrain of "Don't let anyone tell you what to do" while simultaneously telling her what to do was getting on my nerves. When Claire talks to Matt it feels like she's passing on advice to an equal. When Matt talks to Elektra (and to a less extent when Karen talks to Frank) it feels super

Damn, Bernthal has an MFA from the American Repertory Theater!

I think charm is the main thing that separates Frank from Shane on The Walking Dead. On the surface they're kind of similar characters, but Jon Berthanl is really giving two totally different performances.

And even Claire/Malcolm!

You know who I think would be a fantastic couple? Frank and Claire. They're both so straightforward and level-headed (well, to an extent) and could go around cutting through everyone's bullshit together.

It's all due to the ineffable charms of Jon Bernthal my friend. If I were that waitress I wouldn't report him either!

This is a fantastic point! The show tells us she's a crazed murderer in her first appearance and then expects us to be shocked when they reveal that same information again two episodes later.

The bigger question: How many Iron superheroes is too many Iron superheroes?

I haven't actually seen it, is he a superhero or just an action hero?

Thanks! I was definitely keen to keep the binge-watching experience pure and avoid spoilers of all kinds. The hardest part, actually, was finding header images that captured the spirit of the episode but didn't give anything away,

I really think casting an Asian Iron Fist would've added something new and interesting to the series (are there any live action Asian male superheroes at the moment?) I can't say I'm super eager to watch Ser Loras do kung-fu.

But actually, that's one of my favorite movies so absolutely.

Hey, gotta give a shout-out to all of Rosario Dawson's past work!

The reviews are completely spoiler-filled for the episode at hand (like all TV Club episodic reviews) but they have no spoilers for future episodes!
