Oh you know it!

Same! I was just thinking, "This show is more optimistic than I expected!" when it happened.

I definitely feel this concern! I'm going to try to keep my headlines as spoiler-free as possible and I definitely won't reveal any major twists or anything.

Captain America: Civil War: What happens when your old boyfriend meets your new boyfriend?

I just mean this episode. I really like the show as a whole.

This is also my headcanon. And potentially Clarke Peters's headcanon too—I feel like he plays this dude as Lester.

I wish I could erase what I already know about the comic book/set up of the series and watch with totally fresh eyes because I was wondering about this as well.

I am not throwing away my shot.

Marvel is so good at creating very homoerotic friendships and then not addressing them (see also: Peggy and Angie on Agent Carter and Cap and Falcon in Winter Soldier).

You and me both, my friend!

Well I think the show is trying to…oh, hang on, my phone. Sorry, this is really important, I've gotta take it.

Sure! I think the "friendzone" storyline has been played out so many times where the guy gets the girl in the end as a kind of prize. It would be nice to see Supergirl subvert that a bit and not have Kara won over by him.

Plus Pokemon taught us that electricity beats water anyway so I'm not buying it.

I think it was when she was a girl. Those Els were jet-setters.

I was really getting that vibe in the last Cat/Kara scene although I agree it's unexpectedly subtle if that's what they're going for.

The Alex/Eliza scene really needed some Will Schuester rapping.

He'll 100% be back but with how fast this show moves I wouldn't be surprised if it happens in an episode or two.

I took it as Kara's way to honor her biological mother's memory. Since Alex isn't in danger of "replacing" a sibling, I could see why Kara's less adamant about that.

You don't sit around and listen to "Take Me To Church" in candlelit rooms with your parents?

And Tony winner Evil Twin Astra!
