Although I figured I would dislike it and almost did…
it turned out to be a lot better than many critics are letting on. Phipps nailed it with his assessment — flawed, but still worth watching.

"Prediction time: President's daughter is working with Jon Voigt, or at least being inadvertently used by him.
My take…
I completely agree with Scott, except for one thing. He says that it was 'fully realized', when I actually felt, unlike most movies these days, that it could have been a tad longer. I wanted to see even more of Wendy and maybe even some more of Lucy…
THANK YOU!
I'm so glad that you interviewed Dan Simmons because I'm really into 'Drood' right now. Now, if you'll only review it! Plus, I wish that you guys had asked him how much of it is based on real events!
Wrong still…

Admittedly, I haven't listened to it yet, but…
I don't know how 'The Wrestler' can be considered droning. It's classic Springsteen and is one of his finer recent tracks.
Is it just me
or does anyone else think that The Office might jump the shark this season? Last night's was the lamest one all season. I couldn't believe that such a quality show would have such lame subplots. I did like the ambiguity of Hillary Swank as a hottie though…that was the only thing that really worked.
I'm confused…
I thought the A.V. Club originally gave this a 'B'. Not it says it's a 'C-'.
Anything's better than Kath & Kim…
I can't believe that bag of shit is still on. Even Bush droning endlessly has more comic potential. I guess NBC said, "Mr. President, you can have your time slot as long as you don't preempt any of our quality shows, like 30 Rock, the Office or the formerly decent Earl."
