Excellent point - a wildly divergent cover may fall on its face, but at least the artist took a chance; the Pumpkins and Chicks basically went straight, and that leads to a question of "what was the point?"

Wait, are you saying it's cool if people don't all like the same thing?
I can certainly get on board that the Chuck/Di wedding and "We're Not Gonna Take It" were probably close enough that you can allow the fib; although I didn't remember the exact date, "Eternal Flame" being the Bangles song gave me a little bit of a "wait, what?" but yeah, The Goldbergs brings enough to the table that…
THE GREATEST ANACHRONISM OF ALL - HOW DOES SHE LOOK BETTER AT 55 THAN SHE DID AT 30?
Especially since a key plot point was that Beverly had set her alarm to watch the wedding live….
I can only assume this means you're not gonna take it anymore.
Hey, I've often jerked off to my (then-)wife.
"What do you need porn for? Your wife is hot and you can have sex with her whenever you want!"
It wasn't a significant music cue, but I enjoyed hearing Squeeze's "Slap and Tickle" when Elizabeth and Sandra had their girls' night out.

You may be a king or a little street sweeper,
But sooner or later you dance with the reaper
I don't think it had anything to do with the sweep. I just think Academy voters lack imagination (which is an odd thing to say for people involved in making up stories for a living)
Maybe hot chicks really DO like a sense of humor most of all!
Supporting in all 3 of the projects you mentioned. I don't think anyone went to see a movie solely because Kevin Bacon was in it - Quicksilver - which to be fair, is a shitty movie for reasons having nothing to do with Bacon - proved THAT.
Hmm. Nah, I'd think in his prime Quaid was a bigger name, but nowadays I'd rate them about the same. Quaid had his moments where he flirted with stardom, Bacon to me was always more a journeyman/character guy (yes, I know FOOTLOOSE was a huge hit).
"You still drink?"
"Aaaahhh! La policia!"
