White Noise is alright, most of Underworld is as good, Americana has a strong intro but really goes to crap at a certain point. I still have a lot of Mao II and all of the Names to read as far as what's usually considered canonical.

I'd say it's his best book.

If the season finale could just be Dale and Andrea getting eaten by zombies with broken teeth for the full 60 minutes I'd be pretty happy about that.

"Fortunately, most Ayn Rand fans don't generally like to read,"

Is this what they meant by the exploding plastic inevitable?

Is it too much of a sacred cow to talk about the fact that Clint Eastwood is generally a very mediocre director? I like Unforgiven too but he's got an impressively middling output. Impressively middling.

This had better be shot in Imax in the same style as the end shot of Cache.

That's the most telling graph I've ever seen about American popular consciousness.

This album is so bad I'd say it has more merit than most B- releases.

Tomacco was the episode where I decided I wasn't going to watch the new episodes anymore. I held on to that for about ten years and now I wish I'd been more stringent.

Finally, a fart-filled parody of The Diving Bell and the Butterfly. How delightfully spooky.

I saw the first one and was pretty nonplussed. I don't really want to see the second but I absolutely would if I knew they got the ending right and had it end with that fat gnome sewing his face into the last ass on the totem.

Lucky and out of touch, it's one of the internet's greater perpetrators of chronocide.

At least if Bay directed Star Wars the dialogue would be better.

I think a lot of this is sort of an absurd concern. Visual trends ebb and flow with the times and it's pretty easy to tell what decade a film was made just by looking at it and culture is an echo chamber where trends and styles knock around and against each other. It's no matter the amount that nature docs may have

Isn't "Tragic Pixie Dream Girl." already the accepted term for the mortal equivalent?

Russel v. Tomlin - Steel Cage
Man, for the creator of such a humdrum little film that guy's got a mouth on him.

Odds & ends
I'm wondering how this'll go about splitting the vote. Since there'll be ten nominees most of which are comprised of academy pandering crap does that mean the more cultish and dividing films might start cleaning up? Probably not.

Nevermind, that seems to have corrected itself.

No Grade?
Is it so callow as to not be afforded association with a letter of the alphabet? I may have to check this out.
