I attended a wedding this weekend and several of us noted that two of the attendees, who were single and had been seated next to each other but had not met before, started dancing, then making out, then leaving for a short while before coming back.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Buffy Summers.

I DID!

I'm glad I checked to see if this was already posted. One of my favorite exchanges in all of the DCAU.

I would say that Munn is Sorkin's misogyny "heat sink", attracting all of his worst instincts about women to her storylines, except that you could make the same claim about almost all the other female characters.

So which way did the Michigan election go? The numbers went by too fast for me to parse.

Oh, ok.  I just thought he was doing a voice, with no established character until Scott decided that he was Richard Harrow.

My favorite part about that bit is that as soon as PFT started doing that guttural voice I thought of Harrow. Aukerman must have thought the same thing because that's right were he went.

Mr. Harrow stealth executing two guys in the first scene.  HBO knows what we want.

I'm so bored by Will and Mac rehashing their relationship that I completely tuned out their conversation up until the point he fired her. So why did he fire her?

This episode earned plenty of laughs from me.

You know how I know that Reddit's jumped the shark? Last night, the top 5 posts on the front page were all about Miley Cyrus giving Beetlejuice a lapdance.

Wrong. Mackenzie doesn't know how to use email.

1. Numerous characters have memorized and recite extended tangential quotes during their depositions.  Is this something that anyone has ever done, ever?

In actors' defense, press junkets are one of the most soul-crushing activities that you can subject yourself to, for almost all parties involved. The actors are asked the same 5 questions 100+ times over the course of a week ("What drew you to the project?" "The paycheck…I mean, the character really spoke to me";

But not the one it needs.

Taft Hartley for the win!

My working theory is that the quality of an episode of The Newsroom is inversely proportional to the amount of screen time given to the idiotic Maggie-Jim-Lisa-Don-??? love octagon.  This episode is one of the best so far and devotes perhaps five lines to this black hole of suck and even then it was in the context of

Too soon.

While I would be hard pressed to compile even a top 5 favorite PJ Harvey song list, I can probably say that her "mmm-hmm" at the beginning of Long Snake Moan is my favorite moment on that album.
