This is what I was going to say. Words mean different things in different contexts. This is why it's not reverse racism that African-Americans are free to use the n-word but Rush Limbaugh is not.

So Brittany's staying. And Santana's open-ended future tells me she's staying too. At least the writers know to give what the fans demand.

@avclub-913d3a7404f98f0ee3766e12e78506fe:disqus When she divorced Fred Armisen, I couldn't help but laugh at the irony when she said that "the greatest impression [Armisen] does is that of a normal person".

There was just something about Gene's explicit need for attention that just rubbed me wrong in this episode. I've appreciated Gene's general weirdness for its own sake. I really didn't like the retcon of it all being a conscious bid for attention. And then there was the yelling. So much yelling.

I don't think it's just the immediate intimacy that the internet and Twitter provide that's making these showrunner battles more public. It's also the general sophistication of the audience about the business of show. They understand Nielsons and the demo and how corporate politics affect their shows. They know a lot…

I'm already assuming that King's Landing will win the battle. They've built up the underdog story too much to not pay it off with an unlikely victory. Especially with the reveal that they have a secret bunker full of napalm. I think the twist will be that Tyrion or Bronn or someone will come up with a super clever way…

@avclub-41e23e24ee2670c4128cd7e5e5ee42ab:disqus I've figured for a long time that King's Landing would win the battle. Whenever there's a big build up about "oh, we're outnumbered, in a hopeless situation", it means an unlikely victory is at hand. And then they show a secret warehouse full of magical napalm. I didn't…
