Where does Alec Empire and Digital Hardcore fit in here? Does Atari Teenage Riot typically get included in "electronica"?

A friend of mine is a horror movie nut. She's remarked on a number of occasions that cell phone technology now requires all contemporary horror movies to include an expository 10 seconds of "our cell phones don't work because…". In 50 years, people will be able to date movies by how they handle the cell phone question.
Hackers is timeless and ageless.
I'm more into the idea of a lesbian stalker in the next door neighbor. So I'm a bit disappointed that the show goes out of its way to explicitly state that she's more of a lonely 'desperate for a friend' stalker than a sexually obsessed lesbian stalker.
Sigh. It's Headey. Not Heady. And I don't have a problem with her GoT performance. Cersei has a cold and controlling exterior, but that's just to hide a terrified and powerless inner self. Headey plays it just fine.
You do know about "movie magic", right? It was probably a top layer of some glycerin with food coloring and texturizing chunks and mostly water underneath.
I've only managed to catch the pilot and last night's episode (no, Hulu, I'm not subscribing to you just to watch DTTBIA23 reruns), but I'm disappointed that they're already defanging Chloe. How come British sitcoms can keep their main characters awful and unsympathetic, but American sitcoms immediately begin trying…
"As a young man, Sassoon joined an underground Jewish group notorious for busting up fascist meetings in post-WWII London"
It's not hard. I don't listen to pop radio stations, I don't watch MTV, I don't follow celebrity gossip sites like TMZ, I don't watch American Idol or any of that crap. My only exposure to contemporary pop is what they play at the gym, and I usually have no idea who it is. It's really not hard to avoid/ignore these…
S&M gear, you say…? I may have to rethink this whole "not caring enough to know who she is" angle.
6. It chases the fire truck for a bit. Guttenburg's replacement's obvious stunt double does a back flip into it.
I'm so sheltered from mainstream pop culture that I still have no idea what Rihanna looks like or what songs she is famous for. And I'm fine with that.
I always tell the films apart by the method of transport used in each climactic chase scene:
1. Foot
2. More feet
3. Boats
4. Planes and balloons
5. More boats
6. Fire truck
7. In Soviet Russia, car chases you!
What Servormoore said. Per Smith, Peters insisted that Superman fight a giant spider in the Superman script he was working on. The script died, but the giant spider obsession carried on to Wild Wild West.
One of my favorite episodes of the entire DCAU. 'Nuff said.
If she is, then she'd fit in with all the other racists on the show.
Classy AV Club, keeping it classy.
He's the only decent person in an indecent world. Not a hero. But a watchful guardian. A silent protector. A dark knight.
Well, she's already quit the advertising world, so I don't think any criticisms of it will phase her much.
I expect that Harry's World is less wacky sitcom and more hardboiled detective drama. Harry does a crap job at SCDP because it's just a cover and way to develop contacts in the entertainment world that his investigative work specializes in. Harry Crane is a badass motherfucker.
