It's about brutal child murders. The sexy writes itself!

General SPOILERS. Despite loving Clea DuVall, I remember being frustrated with Sophie for most of the first season. I just didn't care about her relationship with her mom or all her whining. It wasn't until she starts working as a roustabout and romancing Carla Gallo that she picked up for me.

I know how the rest of the series goes, and Mackey's final position is hardly a comeuppance. Shield SPOILERS. Getting stuck at a desk job he hates is NOT comeuppance, not for the shit he did for 5 seasons.

I don't think there's much of a Xena fan overlap here either. Having never watched Hercules, Xena, Battlestar, or Spartacus, the most I've ever seen of Lucy Lawless outside of publicity junk and that Simpsons episode is the 3 second cameo she did in Spiderman.

Ian has a boyfriend, or at least casual lover.

Yesterday I learned that Vanessa Angel was originally cast as Xena when it was a guest spot on Hercules, but had to drop out for some reason, leaving the role open for one young Lucy Lawless. The more you know.

I always assumed Jesse won because a majority of the voters were just trying to screw MTV with the worst possible choice. I know that's what I would've done if I could be bothered enough to vote.

I remember when VH1 was a station that actually played videos all the way through, with no text crawls or anything, punctuated by the occasional stand up comedy show. The only blight was the fifteen year old Gallagher specials that they would repeat ad nauseum.

It's an underrated satirical gem. My favorite bit in this satire of the corporatization of music and youth is that even the showers had corporate logos in them.

@avclub-1df8797177fc3b52be6784aacca7358c:disqus Matt Pinfield? He was fired from MTV for being drunk all the time. Knew his shit, though.

Yeah, maybe it's just my American prudery, but I'm not too interested in explicit sex conversations with my friends. I tend to put my friends in the same category as my parents when it comes to sex. I know you're doing it, and good for you, but I don't want to have to think about it.

If you're looking for a Kristin Bell nude scene, I think you have a pretty long wait on your hands.

If you live in L.A., you can see him at the occasional comedy show. UCB, Acme, etc.

He got his start as a DJ on a very influential radio station in L.A., a job most anyone would've killed for, despite absolutely no experience in radio. How did he get this plum job, you ask? His mom got it for him. Can't imagine a douchier way to get a douchey job.

I was thinking the same thing. We've barely gotten to know these people, and only in their professional lives. It was a nice reveal that Jeannie has a personal life that she hides from her coworkers. We'll probably learn later that Clyde takes care of his Alzheimers mother and Doug is secretly married (and therefore

Sarah Marshall will NOT exploit herself that way!

Not reading the article. Just came to write that Carson Daly was a complete tool when he was a DJ on the local rock station, he was a complete tool when he was TRL, he was a complete tool on his late night talk show, and I'm sure he's a complete tool on whatever he's doing now.

Yeah, it's looking like the "Frank kills a woman" episode last week was its shark-jumping moment for me. I doubt that I'll be able to forget that I'm watching the misadventures of a murderer the rest of the series run. Maybe my tolerance for this sort of thing is just very low (I bailed on The Shield after its first

The only hint was in the credits. The character didn't have a name and was just listed as 'Dave's Employee'.

The reveal that Jon Hamm is playing "Jon Hamm, star of Mad Men" alone makes the entire series worth watching and this episode an A+. That he sobs uncontrollably is icing on the cake.
