Does anyone know the production order of this episode? Because it looks like an early episode that was cast to the boonies of mid-December.

And they live in a humongous apartment in Brooklyn. Realism!

Another difference between the U.S. and France: 10 years ago, when the Front National (basically their proto-Nazi party) won an upset victory in the national elections, the French public was embarrassed and shamed. Newspapers ran the headline "France's Shame". Unlike here, where they run the media and are one of the

I doubt any of the businesses thought they were courting controversy by advertising on a feelgood TLC show. Trying to second guess and preemptively capitulate to the whims of a vocal minority (especially a bigoted minority) is a sure loser as far as marketing decisions go.

Well, not even that. He's straight. Chastity Bono self-identified as gay when she was female. But now he's a man in a long term relationship with a woman. That sounds pretty straight to me.

Refusing to advertise to begin with, for fear of bigoted protests, is almost as bad as pulling the ads. The right thing to do (which I presume all the other threatened advertisers have done) would've been to tell the bigots to go fuck themselves and double the ad buys. The middle ground, minimally decent thing to do

I was going to call you on that, but you saved me the trouble.

A country that clearly hates Christians. When will they finally stop being oppressed and allowed representation in this country?

That line alone is why the romance subplot was worth it. Batman always gets the best lines.

Yeah, there's no way I was going to check it while I'm at work.

Eh, there's a 90% chance that peacemeat.com is already registered, so that won't be good.

Way to Britta it, Mistaken.

She was on a podcast a while back where she talked about it. I think I remember her saying that she does Mad Men on weekends when it overlaps her Community schedule.

Yeah, that's the problem I have too. I thought he (or Richard, on his behalf) was actually going to kill her by the end. How can he leave a child with someone he knows firsthand is a sociopath with serious boundary issues?

I'm glad that I'm not the only one that the gloves joke stuck with. I still remember how much a masturbation joke (from a teenager, no less) during an animated family show blew my mind. To this day, I wonder if S&P caught it and let it go or what. I also happened to like Margo as a character (I always have a thing for

I think the joke is the shameful stigma of having grown a mustache. So Abed pauses before "confessing" it.

It's not just creative. It's downright genius. Can you imagine the kind of planning, foresight and sheer joke writing ability it takes to keep those three balls in the air and get them to intertwine correctly? And on top of that, they still manage to throw in nuggets of meta-commentary, physical comedy, etc.

The only downside (the ONLY downside) to living on the west coast is that by the time a new episode of Community airs, there are already 1500 comments here. Sigh.

That's the only thing this episode got wrong. There are no diminishing returns when it comes to an infantilized, sexy Annie.

Did Partridge make disparaging comments about some third parties in his answer? Because if so, and from your account, it was probably the manager doing damage control. Agents and managers' first instinct is always to go on the attack, even when a polite request will do the job.
