I completely agree. Apparently alcoholism is much worse than murder.

What could possibly go wrong?!

I can't imagine them actually trying to pull off a villain with "power rings." Even (or maybe especially) with Thanos floating around, it seems too ridiculous.

The extremis thing didn't seem unambiguous to me at all. Pepper is the obvious example, but many of the extremis subjects seemed to have signed on to cure an injury, not commit terrorism.

@EvelKareebel:disqus You're basically right. It's about how Tywin completely destroyed the Reynes of Castamere after they rebelled.

I agree. Theon's plot will (presumably) have to end up lining up with other Book 5 events. So will they be dragging it out throug the several seasons between now and then?

Someone made one for the books! It has a spoiler control so you only see what you want to, but I'm still a bit wary of linking to it in this thread. Plus, locations in the show and books increasingly don't match up.

@avclub-d9c9a056f6052ffbfa3526be3478d45e:disqus The deal with the last two books is that GRRM wrote most of the fourth book, then realized it was too long, so he took out half the POV characters and made their chapters the first half of book 5. The show will be integrating all the plotlines together, which fortunately

Yeah, I was not expecting Theon torture until next season at least. It's not fun to watch. Moving it up two books seems really unnecessary.

Book Margaery seemed pretty politically savvy to me, especially in comparison to Sansa in the scenes they share. And on the show, don't we only have Loras' word that she's always been so charitable? Basically, I'm on the side of an ambitious, calculating Margaery in both versions.

That was my understanding at the time, but later in the episode it seems like he actually just meant her.

Every plot hole in recent episodes can be explained if you assume that there are 5 of them hanging out on the TARDIS, and the Doctor just keeps forgetting they're there. That's my theory and I'm sticking to it.

This was my thought too. Barring that, I was hoping that modern day Clara would die so that he'd have to go find her in yet another different period.

It was! To the extent that I forgot he wrote it, because it seems so much less awful and violent than everything else he's written.

Too bad, but understandable. The material covered in this season could easily have taken twice as many episodes.

With all the crap that's on Nickelodeon, you single out Children's Hospital?

Yeah, I don't know how they could justify Donna not appearing. I think they couldn't get the rights or something.

If there's no Speed Force in this universe, does that make Wally dead for real? How else could he come back in a hypothetical 3rd season?

Yeah, there is still a significant Justice League force on Earth, but they seem to be completely inactive. We saw them defend against War World but they don't seem to have a public presence at all. My guess would be that the main leaguers get back immediately after the main action concludes, but it could go either way.

Are all three GLs out though? I don't think Guy Gardner's even on the Justice League.
