I don't know if it's animosity towards smaller productions or just people understanding what he is talking about. I have worked as a production manager on micro budgets and for every true believer on set happy to be there and into it there are many more that will be taken advantage of.

I agree. He appeared in Chef last year and while it was a small role, he was still heavily advertised for his appearance. That was directed by Jon Faverau though and is still going to attract seasoned high level people to work on it despite being an indie. As someone who has been in the business a long time that is

I would argue his salary (if that is even true, I have no idea) wasn't necessarily earned there in retrospect as studios only take in about 40-50% domestically of that and even less of a % internationally. So even if the budget was just what he was paid it wasn't really a success financially.

I think I remember listening to Howard Stern when he had Tiffany Thiessen on (this is in recent years and was to promote her show on USA which had been on for awhile at the time) and she said they got like $3,500 a week or something.

I can confirm this as well.

I did find some camp humor in it, mostly from the executives and Screech's dream scene, but thats about it. Never seen a basic cable movie blow so much money on a soundtrack.

The most startling thing about that TV Guide article is that the show still averages 1.5 million viewers on Nick at Night.

I would recommend Reunion only if you can stream it on Netflix or HBOGO and you were the right age for them when it came out. I streamed it on one of those and I thought it was fun to see everybody again up to a point. If you are not enjoying yourself though then you should probably just shut it off, it's not going to

I watched (or listened) to Artie Lange discussing the Sandler thing on Howard Stern. He made it seem like Sandler would not be asked by Lorne. He said that there was bad blood because Lorne passed on Sandlers early hit films and they instead were produced by Lorne's rival Robert Simonds.

I grew up on the original Friday the 13ths and I watched a lot of them last fall and I have to agree that the Platinum Dunes movie is one of the best in the series while still not being great. By 2014 standards it's a far easier watch than most of them that Paramount made in the 80's. I have had people passionately

Where does NBC's 2008 Night Rider fit in? Not sure if it counts. It had a TV movie (with an appearance from the Hoff) and a single season did follow the continuity of the 82 series. That might be stretching it though, it's not like Dallas or something where they brought back full time regulars from the old show. The

Someone had to correct me on this as well. I looked into it and they were indeed closer resembling Mardi Gras costumes. I have seen a lot of re capers and reviewers make the same mistake as me and assume they are Klan hoods. I can't help but think most people outside that region thought similar things.

How do you think Kal Penn feels that all the ads/billboards for this show have everyone shirtless (including Tony Shalhoub) but not him?

Spy Hard has a pretty below par Weird Al music video to open a really bad Leslie Nielsen movie.
