I was hoping Beast Boy would reference Harry and the Hendersons but the Manimal connection is interesting.

I'm on the fence about Clarence myself. There was one episode I liked where Clarence had a date and they threw rocks at the bullies. I don't like the guy with the really scratchy voice.

Oh yea Beast Man was good too. I don't know when that episode is actually supposed to air but I saw it on amazon.

I sort of got that feeling too, and I do think it's more because of the long hiatus than anything else. This episode was pretty dense and I felt like I should've enjoyed it more than I actually did.

Do we know why Ice King has Abracadaniel frozen there? That was my favorite part of the episode I think, just because I found it so random and fucked up (along with The Lighter Side of Nietzsche).

I'm really starting to like Mayor Dewey. You kinda get the impression that he's a decent guy under his bumbling political shenanigans.

Thanks for being the most polite hater of the show I've met so far! Yes many comic book fans share your opinion.

Greg Universe is sort of my idol. He should give lessons on how to be an awesome dude. I like his guitar style too, very prog-rock.

Oh crap, The Shell is the best episode…of any cartoon ever. That may or may not be an exaggeration, I'll have to give it a few days.

Sleater-Kinney is awesome. I hadn't even heard them until they got back together but the album The Woods is shit hot. I'd heard Janet Weiss because she drummed for Stephen Malkmus, unaware that it was actually a step down for her, as much as I love the Malk.

Carrie Brownstein! I was racking my brain the whole episode trying to think of who that was, great performance.

Reminds me of the time I went to a Pavement concert just to see the Endless Boogie opening act.

I think I liked the first two minutes of MTP, but it felt pretty light on laughs after that. And the plot of Robin being banished was kinda played out, but him talking to himself in a southern accent was kinda funny. I preferred TJW because it seemed to get back to more charmingly stupid humor, like Robin kicking the

Really funny episode, I saw it as sort of a tribute to the South Park episode "Ass-pen" which is also one of my favorites. I noticed they do a lot of random references like that.
Season 3 I think started the more consistently hilarious tone they've found since, but a lot of great gems in 1 and 2. The Dress was another

You've got that much-needed counterpoint to our cynical worldview.
