Thanks! I figured the Gumball ep was probably better than I gave it credit for.

The episode by itself had merit, it definitely wasn't bad or anything. I'm just having a hard time with the frequency of episodes like this in season 6.

It sort of makes me glad that AV Club decided not to review Steven Universe—it has really done wonders for the Adventure Time comment section. I try not to watch the new SU episodes until I catch up on the old ones, but I always scroll through that thread and see a lot of exclamation points and superlatives.

I don't anything valuable to add yet, but I think that responses to this post should be titled ¿Su Observations?

As a nerd on the internet, I am required to live in my mom's basement for credibility purposes.

I have buried these comments deep within the caverns of the Adventure Time comments section, so that only the truest fans may find them:

I think they do, but they have a hard time competing with Big Oreo.

B- is good if you didn't read the book or had to poop really bad during the test. For AV Club, I've always thought B+ was sort of the baseline for an average good episode of TV.

Agreed, although I wonder what the percentages are on BCS watchers who haven't seen BB. There was one commenter who hadn't a few weeks ago, I think he was an unfrozen caveman or something.

I'll take an E.L. Fudge if you have any.
WATCH HARDER NEXT TIME MOTHER FUCKERS

I get her point about the pacing, but it seems like a nit-picky observation. The scenes had to be presented in the order that they were, and the second one was simply brilliant comedy. We knew that whatever was under the tarp would be stupid, but the reveal was kind of a weird bait-and-switch where we still weren't

As much as I hated the first episode (well acted by Michael Kelly, but painful as a story) he absolutely shredded the last episode. That look on his face when he's beating up Gavin…Jesus fucking Christ.

I personally found the debate absurd. Petrov stole the show for me.

I can't count how many times two of the characters would have the following exchange:

The soliloquies are so integral to the show because it's the only time he actually seems like a human being…sort of…

Does Tom DeLonge know that, when recording a song, you are allowed to do more than one take? How was not one person involved in the recording like, "Tom, you wanna try those vocals again? We need something that's not the worst thing ever recorded."

The Stamper arc gets better, but Chapter 27 was the least watchable thing I've ever watched.

Since I find love and tears of joy to be the most painful emotions, I nominate:
Parks & Recreation - Smallest Park
Adventure Time - I Remember You

I don't want to rag on TT too much because it was a great, captivating show, but the characters are a little too close to the uncanny valley for me. TTG makes fun of this a lot, especially in the latest one with Cyborg bragging about his perfectly defined muscles.

Amy from Futurama! That makes more sense to my ears.
