Oh no, my shoes are untied by British standards!

I didn't read this, and just wanted to make an angry comment. GRRRRRRRRR!! Nirvana rules!!

I've been standing at the station, in need of education in the rain

At least Amy Poehler got a Golden Globe. I try to set my expectations low for these sorts of things.

My favorite part about the Jon Cryer Emmy is that both of his costars later went insane and blamed it on how bad the show was. I repeat, they gave an award to a show that was so bad that caused lunacy in two of its three main actors.

At least for me, the Wire and Parks & Rec are similar in one respect: I was kind of indifferent to them at first, but they grew on me during binge-watching, eventually leading to hardcore fandom. Maybe the Emmy voters don't have the patience to reward good binge-watching shows.

I hate-watch TBBT sometimes since it's on TBS so much. There is one episode I like where Sheldon hires an actor to play his drug addict cousin.

I dunno much about acting, but I felt like the guy from Silicon Valley did a much more nuanced version of what Jim Parsons does.

I can do an even worse nerd impression than Jim Parsons. Give me 8 Emmys please.

Yea I stand corrected. I rewatched the first 5, and the 2nd episode is easily the worst.

Is the 2nd episode the first one with Ghostface Killah? C- seems rather harsh, like Jack Donaghy himself is doing the grading.

I swear playing the piano is 10 times easier high. With guitar, the difference is more subtle, but it generally makes you a more patient soloist. I dunno about like crack or heroin, that might be a little much.

Also, Gene Simmons probably gets frustrated with people on drugs for being better at music than him.

I see how this works now. So even if we tortured worse than Stalin, I could say, "we're still not as bad as House Bolton, so who cares."

Thanks, I should add that one to my arsenal. Most of these weak GOP pundits always use variations of ad hominem (Hannity is obsessed with tu quoque) but I like to keep it fresh.

I'm totally down. I probably don't have much time left, and I'd love to beat the shit out of Mel Gibson before swimming in some molten lava.

How does his argument even make sense? "My mother was in a concentration camp, so stop saying the world is a harsh place!"

I agree with most of this, but I still have sympathy for the officers themselves. It's a dangerous, thankless job and they're human beings.

I was questioning why she couldn't get any better acting gigs, but then I remembered that I haven't seen a good movie in like 5 years. At least Scott Pilgrim and Safety Not Guaranteed were good.
