Slings and Arrows. I wasn't aware of its existence a few months ago. I now consider it one of my all-time favorite shows.

Episode 9's nighttime raid + hostile exfiltration was incredible, one of my favorite action sequences the show's ever done…and then they topped it 10 minutes later with the thrilling train sequence.
Episode 8 was my favorite since the season opener.
Anybody know the name of the ritual/significance of Rebecca washing her hands as she was dying?
The last 15 minutes of Episode 1 was spectacular; individual action setpieces that flowed well into each other. Esp. loved Stonebridge commandeering the gunboat by himself ("Nice work, Aquaman!")
Damon Lindelof addressed this exact point in a Vulture piece recently. His quotes,
"Who said I don't like her? She's the nicest felon you ever dated."
The Besnard Lakes - Until in Excess, Imperceptible UFO is the only album I 'love' so far this year.
The 2001 nominees were a relatively weak field; surely some more deserving candidates were omitted.
I have that attitude (tempered a bit) towards GRRM so ASOIAF doesn't get scooped by GoT, but I'm ok with Jackson & Doc taking as much time as necessary to deliver a quality product.
Still better than 98% of TV, but I rank Season 5 below Seasons 2-4. In fairness, Season 4 was twice as long and its best episodes were in the back half.
Early 2015, according to Jackson in the recent Slate interview.
The Strike Back action sequences are all uniformly excellent. I'm trying to think of what the highlight of last season was (scenes in Episodes 7 or 8?) and can't come up with one.
Banshee's too awesome that I don't even know which FIGHT you're referring to:
Actually it was 2011. Fantastic scene.
"The best-edited comedy on television right now is Fox’s New Girl."
Snowden reminds me of Amy from Enlightened: Naive, idealistic, likely self-deluded, prone to exaggeration.
Unless these next two episodes are series highlights, I'm likely going to rank this season as below Seasons 2, 3, and 4.
Edgar Wright: where does he rank among our greatest active directors?
I love Dalton's corruption speech in "Syriana", although I think it's misplaced here. I see it more as Dalton's celebration of America, where the ends justify the means in a zero-sum world.
