Charlie Sheen. He could play Poe as a drunken charming reprobate whose brother and nephew move in with him after a nasty divorce….

Is there no love for CopLand, which was a much much better film than it really deserved to be?

In fact, Johnny Depp would probably make a better Poe. Or… hmmm.. John Malkovich, provided he didn't Ac t.

It's a shame the pull quote guy doesn't seem to be around, because reading him, I'd imagine that that quote is a great pull quote: 'I waited for more than a year for this book. I'll never get that time back. Time I might've cured cancer, written the great American novel, or learned the value of love and charity.

the point I didn't make was that they didn't just get in a Frank clone or a Trapper clone or a henry clone: they thought about how those characters worked, and brought in someone who might fill the same space yet be believable. The Charles' learnt from them: the main example i can think of was when Nicholas Colasanto

Joe Mama FTW

Bill Monroe.

It's Oggy…

Lemmy and Slayer on Gershwin duets. If you're going to go metal, go f*ckng! metal

Fender does a nice range of acoustic, but they ain't no Telecaster…

The first one? I wish, though, it wasn't renamed 'Hamlet: The Phantom Menace'…

Your mom…

I'm putting in more love for 'Walk This Way'. that shit rocks and swings like a motherfucker.

Baffler gets 3 internet points. ah, fuck it, 5.

It's not that DAD was dumber than any other was… or in fact, it was. It starts off really good, but then that sucking harpie Madonna appears, and it all goes to shit.

Jesus Fucking Christ: Amen bro - Belafonte is the greatest folk singer of all time….
