Z Cars?
Is that the show this came out of?

and by 'Fair' I mean well-balanced, well-written, well tought through… it was not an unfair review…

Hey Klosterman
Good interviewing of Modell there. :D

Fair review…
Castle works for the same reason NCIS does: they won't be discussed in 50 years (such as Buffy, Sopranos, Mad Men, Wire, Shield et cetera), but they promise an hour of entertainment, and usually deliver. What more can you ask for in this case?

god'll get you o'neal…
just you watch…

I struggled to see, with The Idiots, why a tripod was such a bourgeois concern - it made me motion sick (but I enjoyed what I saw)

I second all of those, especially Vern Goslin, Charley Pride (can a black man sing country? Can a motherfucking bird fly?), and I thought you'd done Roger Miller, but if not, yes, and of course Roseanne and Carlene…

It's like gunsel in the Maltee falcon…

Well, the sluttening in three is not as good as the sluttening in 2… adn so on and so forth…

Apparently the script for Fry is ready for House, but as was posted above, he needs to stop appearing on Bones and Stephen Fry's America. Rabin's here, nad he says he's 'optimistically cautious'…

Unless I missed it, no-one has mentioned Joss Whedon's take, in Buffy - Spike sets himself up as 'The Yoko' - just a catalyst to split up an already fracturing band. 4 yong men who had grown apart, and were likely going to split anyway… (I suppose, though, the Dude's take is similar.)

I must say…
I'd rather read about gigs I'll never get to, because I live 15000 miles away, then be entertained, educated and informed on people whose life mattered to me in some way (often), even when I didn't know it did…

Mad magazine's Chinaclown: 'She's my sister' (slap); my hsuband (slap), my mother (slap), my brother. Shouldn't that be one slap? Sorry - (slap)!

Another vote for Simple Green: each generation thinks it smarter than the next, and wiser than the previous.

It's punny
But I swear that this book is a 'GRAVE' subject, and that it is 'DEAD' funny. It won't 'ROT' your brain, and must have taken a while to 'DECOMPOSE'….

Could care less, but it's too much effort.

the secret is to repress the gag reflex…

If you watch it out of the context of being the sequel to Chinatown, it's actually ok. Unlike the Star Wars prequels.

No Sydney gigs? Bring back buzzkills! Yeah!!!

It can only be Dylan.
The only act contemporaneous with the Beatles who had the cultural impact, and popularity… the parameters were too narrow…
