My original gimmick, of a kid just discovering politics and making Rage Against the Machine-esque observations, was made obsolete a year later in 2008 when Libertarianism became the go-to "my first political leanings" for the kids.

The ending scared the shit out of me as a child. Everything from the garish appearance of future-Burns and future-Smithers to the existential funk that came from thinking about their being "alive" both that far into the future, and as mostly machines.
