I actually did enjoy the first one. I guess it was a right place, right time sorta deal. I only saw the second one once, and that was enough. Never bothered with the rest.

Yeah, you bring up some good points. I always did get a sense, even with his "funkier" work that it was largely style at work and not substance. I don't know if I'd say his poorer songs outright stink, but they definitely fall short.

It's just as painful to watch him on these reviews try to explain a joke, completely miss the point of the joke, then go on a tirade on why he hates that particular joke.
