Some of my favorite moments/quotes mentioned in this thread. The Christmas specials were just brilliant. I caught up on the series around 2003-2004 just as it was being brought over to our side of the pond. I watched through the whole series in a weekend, and can't imagine that story being told without the specials.
"I'm John Wayne. I'm not gonna cry about my dead pa! I'm gonna build an airport. Put my name on it."
Well, that was him just now.
"That's why she didn't seem surprised"
Well, it does look like a lobster tail (but WITHOUT it's shell)
Tim's "Gareth voice" during that scene is priceless.
I live in Asheville where they are shooting Hunger Games, and I met a PA who recently worked with Matt Damon on "We Bought a Zoo", and he shared this interesting tidbit:
Tossin,
It has not been over 2 years since they started airing "season 6" of Futurama. It will be 2 years by the time season 7 starts, but I think 13 episodes per half-season is pretty solid, considering they do the same thing with South Park and only give us 7 at a time.
I heard about it on the tv…how you were sitting next to me, and you dieeeeed.
Dikachu,
Not the case. Episodes 1-13 from last fall constitute season 6a. Episodes 14-26 will make up season 6b, and Comedy Central has already ordered ANOTHER 26 episodes, which will comprise seasons 7a and 7b.
It was Barry, from East Enders. Easily one of the funniest characters in Extras. When he goes "Allo, you!" right before he bites in to that muffin, I lose it every fucking time.
Not only that, but how much control do you have over a design after it's been permanently inked on to someone's skin? If anything, Mike should have final say in how that tattoo can and can't be used. And he obviously wasn't bothered by the sequel too badly to be in it.
If I was old enough, I'd fight you naggers.
Interview, please.
Bring on the Trey and Matt interview, AVC! I'd love to hear their thoughts on this half-season now that it's finished, and would particularly like to see them elaborate on this mid-term finale.
Mockumentary episode
I was a little disappointed that they didn't discuss "Intermediate Documentary Filmmaking" at greater length. I could have pretty well guessed everything Dan had to say about the style of the episode. I would have been a lot more interested in seeing some conversation on how they got Levar…
@Spoil Sport: I think you can. While I'm often the type that will seek out spoilers (I don't like surprises), these TV Club Classic writeups are pretty much designed to provide a place for both longtime fans and those who are just experiencing the show to discuss it together.
GABAGOOL! MOOTZARELL!
I need somethin' to give my dingle less tingle.
@Shame-Spear : Which is probably also where he learned "macabre". The fact that he doesn't know how to pronounce it and is clearly just itching to use it is so funny.
Fuck. The only way*.
