Missed this film trend
The only what that I can relate to this particular genre of film is via the brief scene in That Thing You Do when The Wonders have to be a background band for a beach movie.

I still don't see that as being the climax of the whole season. Of that particular storyline, maybe. But I did not see the Cousins as the main focus of the season. B story at best. I still contend the climax of the season is the end of the penultimate episode. When Walt's car comes crashing in, he murders someone in…
@The UMD: This is only funny if you have followed the entire series up to this point. This clip as a standalone completely fails to show the haters why they should give it a shot.
@tossin: I'm firmly with Larry David when it comes to this subject. Substitutes for foul language are nothing more than glorified baby talk, and indicate an unwillingness to use the word that you actually want to.
I believe Djur is correct. I've seen Todd remark that TV Club Classic shows can be given the grade, but current shows cannot, as a general rule.
What a whiner
I was on board with Loren in this interview until he started crying about Archer. You created a star in Jon Benjamin via Home Movies who has now become a big name in voice acting and does shows other than yours. Get the fuck over it.
Aww man, someone created a Dean Pelton gimmick account just as the season ended? This could have already worn itself out by now.
petethepanda, you do realize you can use the word "fuck" here, right? You don't have to keep talking like a 10 year old. Unless you're 10 or something, in which case, fucking have at it.
Actually, Family Guy's parody was lame as fuck because it was a bunch of tame, obvious, George Lucas-approved Star Wars jokes. As VDW said, they downplayed the Star Wars parody aspect here, and it was much to the episode's benefit.
NBC are dicks
I know this has been briefly mentioned in other threads, but I'm surprised it hasn't been discussed at length:
It took me forever to finally come around to Wilco's Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. At first, it mostly put me to sleep, and I couldnt really get past it's more tranquil qualities. I think around the times I saw the documentary I really "got it" and it's been in my top 10 favorites ever since.
Haha. Ass burgers…
Good to know you're on it. I figured as popular as it is around here, it would take precedence over Archer, but I suppose we all have shit to do.
It was all right, but I don't think it topped last week's episode. I liked that it wasn't as much of a "theme" episode as some of the recent ones have been, but it was a little weak on the jokes. I think Levar Burton is just hard to top.
What the fuck, VDW?
Archer is great and all, but where the hell is the Community write-up? And to think I wasted a first congratulating your posting speed last week…
I think…
Kanye West clearly hired Steve Stoute to write this letter. It basically reads as an overlong, wordy version of "HOLD ON GRAMMYS, IMMA LET YOU FINISH, BUT JUSTIN BEIBER IS THE BEST NEW ARTIST OF ALL TIME!"
(no longer too lazy to log in)
I rather enjoyed Romeo + Juliet. I saw it when I was a teenager, and it was the first thing to give me any interest in Shakespeare. The 2nd was Two Gentlemen of Lebowski.
More fish for Kunta!
Theory about Pierce
I haven't seen anyone discuss this possibility yet: Does anyone else think perhaps they are slowly writing Chevy Chase off of the show? He has to be demanding the highest salary, and there's just not really anywhere else to go with his character. I never really thought he would stick around for the…
