No chance.  This is the "year end edition", a guide to what we're "barely putting up with" "this year."

Just hear me out. The Taylor series is not that complicated, and it will give you a new way to determine square roots.  And it doesn't need a knife.  That's all I'm saying.

Ditto.  Loved it.  That movie kills me every time I see it.

Yeah, agreed.  I thought Andy Garcia in particular was phenomenal in that movie: headstrong, arrogant, calculating and borderline-feral in a rage.  I winced when Sofia Coppola was onscreen, but honestly, a big part of my problem there was putting her confused insecurity side-by-side with my favorite performance in the

I'd vote to keep the balance as it is, personally.  People seem to be playing to their strengths and there's certainly room for the varying tones across the entirety of the site.  I have my favorites, same as anyone, but I enjoy the texture that results from the sundry voices in the conversation.

Actually, I was going to post that both Skyfall and that Batman movie  plummeted in my estimation of them when I thought about them afterwards.  They certainly don't belong on this list on their own merits, for my money; if Prometheus had been on the list, I would've added it here, too.

My reaction as well.  Actually, this whole thing had a pretty heavy stink of contempt about it, which - deserved or not - is not a fun read.

Did anyone else think of "Grit" by Martyn Bennett when they saw this Inventory?  That disc haunted me like a ghost.
