Great moment — the long shot of Jesse and Walt on the roof of the parking garage… from the perspective of someone hidden, observing them. Not that somebody was there (though how awesome would it be if they call back to that shot in the S5 premiere?), but just an awesome, subtle reminder that They Are Still Not Safe.

On reflection, the only way it could seem sudden and surprising is if Walt kills Jesse and then pulls off a Mission Impossible-style supermask, revealing himself to be Mike.

Have to assume red herring. It's a fairly good one, as part of what it looks like we're all thinking is a Jon's-dead fake-out; R+L=J makes it Jon (probably) integral to the end game, so negating that theory makes it plausible that Jon's really dead.
