First, Team Daryl. Rosebud is a great device but doesn't reveal nearly as much as people seem to think.

I get the idea (and like the question), but at least a couple of these — Natural One and Float On — weren't really surprises when you heard them. Yes, the bands were edgier than mainstream pop, but the songs are pop gems. Great hooks and solid, accessible beats.
