Well, remember that you get to submit 1 or 2 scenes, so he knocked those scenes out of the park. And it seems like the show is very popular among the voters.

It's a little bit of apples and oranges.

I'll assume they do next season.

With a million nominations and like 1 win (for acting)?

Mad Men is a shell of its former self, buzz-wise. I don't think it'll be able to do much with only 7 episodes.

He blew up at Saul and acted through a lot of tragedy, but yeah, he seemed like an afterthought in the last series.

I've picked up both of them in syndication and it's kinda funny. There's a lot of predictability to it, but I think that's from watching Curb all these years. You kinda see where it's all ultimately going.

What struck me as strange was how excited the cast looked up on that stage. It's like the show has never won before. The cynic in me was thinking they were excited about the advantage at the bargaining table when it's time for new contracts.

Things I noticed:
T.J. Miller was funny when he was in the background, like he was so stoked that he was on TV! He gave Kumail a hug.

It felt like they spent 90 percent of effort on the Game of Thrones song, 10 percent of effort on the other 4 or 5.

What was strange to me was that Sherlock was both a miniseries and also got a movie nod for The Last Vow (or His Final Vow).

Mostly good awards, but the main awards just felt like a carbon copy of last year.

I'm glad Chris Hardwick was there to correct the grammar of internet trolls. Timely!

I shave entirely on Monday. I don't have an electric razor. I like the razor.

That would be epic if it was a clip show from the perspective of the 10th season and it just shows clips of stuff they have yet to show you, from the 2nd to 9th season. Just bonkers crazy footage with no context as a means of getting you to want to tune in for the next 8 years.

Under the DOMA

I went though it about 3 times in the span of 2 weeks (when it came out last year) and I'm not interested in re-visiting it anytime soon. I'm officially burned out on the first 3 seasons as well.

It's a perfect summer show, like Last Comic Standing and Master Chef.

I remember going to summer camp the weekend Batman came out and I went with my scoutmaster and he drove by the movie theatre with the line going around the block and I was like "Fuck! I don't wanna go to summer camp."

I was mildly intrigued, but nothing about the trailers really stuck me as "must watch". I mean, Annie Lennox probably got to buy a new boat, but that's about it.
