Hold on a second here. I am not "right wing" but there is a lot to praise Putin about. For example, it was Putin, not the nobel prize winning president, who solved the Syrian crisis.

Putin has a record for actually attacking the oligarchy. And he has one of the highest approval ratings as a leader in the world

I read the same thing

A, B, D, F sounds a bit more grungy.  Replace the F with the E and you have something more along the lines

A weird trend in rock music has been its complete abstraction.  Loud, distorted guitars are still present but they are usually drenched in reverb and have more of an ambient effect to them.  It no longer feels immediate but rather passive.

There has been a narrative that Nirvana were idealistic punk rockers who shunned anything remotely pop and had ultimate disdain for Nevermind.  But from what I gathered through a few readings is that Nirvana was very pleased with Nevermind and the band was always looking for their big break.

I agree.  His sing/rap is completely underwhelming.  I also felt like he was always copping other rapper's voices.  He started out with that lil wayne drawl and now he is doing his best Kendrick Lamar impression

Next time I get I get a speeding ticket I'm going to tell the judge, "This is so ridiculous.  Don't you know that there is a Civil War in Syria?  Thats why I should not be punished."

I guess I'll have to act as the RHCP apologist.

Not in my experience.  Stadium Arcadium came out when I was in the 8th grade and all my friends bought it.  They became our first big musical idols and inspired us all to go play music.  None of them like the bands you play and a few are in fairly experiment outfits.  Granted, that album didn't hold up.

I guess I'll somewhat defend Lenny.  I've always tolerated his music.  I'm personally not too much into roots rock or rock artists in general trying to revive the original sound and ethos (that means you too Jack White) but this song has a decent riff.

@Touchdown_Spenser   A few of my friends and I read his post.  I'm actually a big fan but he seems like a well kept secret on the internet

"Kony is probably chopping off someone's hands right now."  The North Koreans also have scores of political prisoners being tortured and starved on a   scale much larger than Kony.  And Kony isn't a threat to the sovereignty of any other countries because the borders in Africa are all weak and ill defined.

North Korea has been under a hereditary autocratic rule for three generations  and have one of the worst economies in the world.  I will challenge your argument by that even getting someone outside of the family would make a huge change in North Korea's style of government

I just watched Shane Smith in Liberia and your right: he does come off as a scumbag.  Most of the other Vice reporters, from what I watched, when confronted with culture shock seemed confused but Smith has this, "Man, these guys are f^%$ed up shtick that is very unbecoming

Relativism is, er, relevant

I've only seen their clips on youtube and i'll admit, going against the popular consensus of the comment section, that I enjoyed what I saw.  There were a few moments where the reporters exhibited a lack information about the country they were in which could come off as condescending.

A Professional women who by all accounts is successful realizes that she is missing something in her life: a man.  Wow, how original.

I always thought 16 stone had some good singles.  When I was a kid, "Machinehead" was one of my favorite songs.  But all the b-cuts on that album were painful to listen to.  "Alien" is a major ripoff of Nirvana and so uneccessary to the 16 stone album; I always wondered why the would include it.  Razorblade Suitcase

Or maybe Albini and Rossdale got along.
