Wow, getting that 45 is pretty cool. I wish I had known about it. I would have given Joyce all of my damn money!

I get really bummed out sometimes when I remember that Pekar isn't around anymore. He's just one of those cultural icons that you think is going to be around forever…until he isn't anymore. Him, and Vonnegut. I really miss those guys.

My husband told me that you could actually stop by his house, ring his doorbell, and he'd hang out with you for a while if you wanted to talk and weren't a dick about it. For a long time, I always wanted to do that. I'd bring him an orange soda.

I love that whole scene, too. It's one of those very basic existential crises- "What's in a name?"

Oh! That's right! Damn, I missed that.

The woman who went on the run to the store (her name is Sasha) is his sister, not his wife. The woman he's in a relationship with now is the wife of one of the guys in his group who became a lackey for the Governor and was killed by his hand. Said guy accused Tyrese of having an affair with his wife late last season

Thanks for saying that! I could have kept going, as I have a big pop culture week ahead of me.

I challenge you to a DUEL OF THE BOREDEST.

I didn't mention this in the thread but the reason was two-fold:

It was quite a pop-culture weekend indeed-

"Sure is fancy driving!"

Let's all just try to forget Roxy Music's cover of "In The Midnight Hour".

*Dies*

He has flawless and downright regal bone structure.

"Kids Don't Follow"

The Tim version is worlds better. Get your horn section out of my Replacements songs!

The accents were bothering me, too. I feel like maybe it was easier for Lennie James to do a Southern American accent in the Walking Dead, but a Midwestern accent is a bit trickier? I'm not entirely sure what a black Detroit accent sounds like, but whatever James is doing just makes the dialog seem even more

Ha! Is it just me, or does Peter Garrett bare a striking resemblance to that guy from The Hills Have Eyes?

"…with a slow pan around Mark Strong’s molded skull, a motif that’s edged into cliche in a short space of time."
