It's fun for exercising - O'Brien kept up his holodeck kayaking runs when he moved to DS9, for instance.

Simplest explanation: Odo's shapeshifting abilities aren't a tool being brought into the holosuite, they're an aspect of Odo's biology. The holosuite could be programmed to deactivate phasers, tricorders, etc.; it can't exactly deactivate a changeling's biology.

There are no spy stories in which a small team of brave agents outwit the better-equipped but less-vigilant security agents of a foreign power, carrying off vital information for the good of the Union? A heist is a heist, after all, my dear, even if carried out with noble intentions - and you may notice that in Human

DS9 actually proves the Romulans' paranoia right, doesn't it? We've already seen the Federation intentionally embroil the Romulans in a war on false pretenses, the Dominion slip a Changeling impersonator (Colonel Lovok) into the Tal Shiar …

I don't actually mind where it ended… and it'd be a bit odd for the show to be the Sarah Connor Chronicles, but not even have Sarah. Although, come to think of it… no reason they couldn't bring future Sarah Connor into the mix.

Beszel/Ul Qoma. Seems like a fun city/cities to visit.

Interplanetary space at most, I'd imagine. Also, here, have this nit I've picked.

We need an emergency optometrist team here, STAT!

In spring 2367, guerrilla activity went on the upswing in Kendra Province. Armories were raided, convoys hit, bases mortared… and when the provincial governor's estate was bombed by the terrorists, Central Command decided it was time to hunt down and destroy major terrorist groups in the province. Acting on

Well, think of it from the cupcake's perspective - does it want to be eaten? Why not hide its flavor behind sprinkles?

NOT AVAILABLE TO THE MOB.

To be fair, in the Star Wars universe, said travel and communication happens rather quick. Maybe a week or two, if I remember correctly, from Tatooine to Alderaan?

On the other hand, isn't ten thousand years of continuous rule pretty unlikely? I mean, there are literally no states that share any continuity with the societies of ten thousand years ago.
I admit I haven't read Dune, though… but still. Ten thousand years.

NOT AVAILABLE UNDER CLOAK

From their end, they haven't violated Picard, they've improved him, given him a fuller, more collective existence. Plus, a rad eye-laser thingy.

'the chewing Vole under't' - heh heh heh.

SPOILERS
Breen or no, the Dominion was losing. The plague gave the Founder an out, a reason to surrender rather than go down to the last… but I don't think it explains why the Dominion was being pushed back to Cardassia Prime, why the Breen raid on Earth and recapture of Chin'Toka were seemingly the last offensive

According to memory alpha, the writers specifically had Guadalcanal and Vietnam in mind for AR-558.

Internal trade? I think the Karemma (who showed up a few times before the Dominion War broke out in earnest) seemed to handle commerce. For that matter, I occasionally got the sense that the Dominion is pretty tolerant of members running their own internal affairs… so long as they obey when the Vorta come calling.

There's also a matter of stakes, isn't there?
