MAH WAYF!!

Forget Never Call Saul. I want a spin-off set in that fire station where they're forced to deal with an adorable baby that just shows up. Working title: Flaming Babies. I stress the "working" part…

The "prequel" element has put paid to my theory that this whole spin-off idea was one big genius red herring and Saul was going to take a bullet in one of these episodes…

One of my favourite crime movies of the last decade, if not of all time. But unlike most of the others, not one I'm eager to revisit any time soon. Few gangster movies deal with the REAL collateral damage of their anti-heroes actions. Oh boy, does this one.

I haven't seen Outland so I'd love to be proved wrong but as far as I'm concerned his "best work as an actor" is in Sidney Lumet's The Offence.

I'm as big a De Palma fan as you're going to get, and they're two strong actresses in the leads, but aside from the ballet sequence everyone's talking about, this is awful. At times it approaches "The Room" levels of quotable madness. It feels like English is nobody in it's first language, in terms of both writing and

The PERFECT marriage of headline and photo on your main page, AV Club…

Burt Lancaster would work, he's a noir stalwart, an action star and he's that regal quality that'd suit Bruce Wayne. I'd love some kind of Lorre/Greenstreet villain combo with Cagney as the Big Bad (Joker). Fritz Lang directing it. It'd be insane.

This film is fucking flawless. Even stuff that seems like cool world-building details turn out to be integral to the plot. Walsh is a master, perennially underrated due to also being a worker who clocked in to do his job every Monday, rather than Hawks or a Ford. I always said Cagney would have made a superb Joker,

Did he get a random roles? Can't find one, which would be a crying shame.

Dennis Farina :-(

You'd be right, sir

American Slavery Was Not An Oscar-Baiting Drama. It Was A Holocaust. My Ancestors Are Slaves. Stolen From Africa. I Will Honor Them

I can only imagine the reactions of Statham and Knight upon hearing the new title foisted onto them. Jesus Christ.

The Killer Elite, to get some anecdote about doing blow in the Mansion with Peckinpah…

And Spike Lee thought he was pissed off at Django…

In the scenes where laBeoef was investigating I hear he was ACTUALLY investigating, for real, on camera. That's next level shit.

Pedro Almodovar. Lluis Homar as the villain. Credit sequence of Bond masterbating to footage of women dying in front of him. Money. In. Bank.

Pitt nearly goes full Aldo at the end of his clip…
