I've long thought the stupidest thing about The Mob Doctor (note: I've never actually watched this show) was it's title. It's simple, idiotic, on-the-nose, and utterly without elegance. It seems like there should be a better title, or at least a more enjoyably stupid one, but since Fox started advertising the pilot

"Beast" is totally a verb. Haven't you seen that crab eating scene from Beasts of the Southern Wild?

I'm thinking they're setting things up so that LaGuerta will suspect Deb as the bay harbor butcher. She made a point of saying "or her" about the real killer still working for the police, she seemed a little suspicious at Deb constantly trying to drown play the investigation, we basically got confirmation at the end

Canadian general Fortinbras comes in and annexes the US. It's the twist ending they'll never see coming!

Aside from the other problems, Mircea Monroe was seriously miscast. I mean, she did her best, but everyone knows Culper Agent 355 is black.

The Mirror is higher than The Bicycle Thieves? I feel like I'm back in art school. Pretty, ephemeral, lyrical, and interminably long are all nice qualities, but I like a little more substance in my froofy art movies. What about getting some San Soleil up in this?

It's like a slightly more shitTy version of Wesley's arc from Buffy/Angel! That's not really damning it with faint praise, Wesley might have my favorite character arc on television. Anyway, sad to see Eureka go, even if I only caught up a few months ago. It's a great "summer" scifi show, and I for one wouldn't mind if

I wonder… does anyone here actually watch the news? Obviously we're going to run young and tech-savvy, but television news has absolutely no relevance to my life or, that I know of, to any of my friend's. I read blogs / newspaper's websites, watch important events on YouTube and, of course, sometimes turn into The

Yeah, I've usually found Muse pretty damn good at doing their Muse thing. I'll even put them on sometimes if I'm looking to feel all stereotypically pumped up or whatever. This, however, is just fucking awful. Boring and derivative and with lyrics that are somehow even worse than usual. What the fuck happened?

This is really the only movie I wanted a spoiler-space for this week. So… does the world end?

Every industry relies on nepotism and networking. Hollywood just makes it more of an open secret than most other industries. I think entertainment is more likely to acknowledge nepotism because of the risky nature of film making. Movies and television shows are often huge investments; their successes or failures ride
