Are we allowed to say "they’re both whiter than Wonder Bread" now?

Agreed. I guess with the book I just sort of got the vibe that she's like one of those women who refuses to acknowledge her looks have played a part in getting where she is and has to insist over and over that she's actually really smart and cultured. Like she DOES seems smart enough but she is hung up on

I only read the first chapter but it was about how she had an affair with Rushdie when he was married and basically "I accidentally fell madly in love with a thrilling intellectual who appreciated how smart I am and HAPPENED to be married." It may be a personal sensitivity but I find having affairs/stealing people's

"Very surprised to see Sam go out this early but I knew he was done once he admitted he didn't make his own bread. Pretty much any time you don't make your own ingredients, you go home," THIS. Like the #1 thing Tom flips out about is people not making their own pasta, bread, etc.

I just don't think Blais has the right energy for TV. In person he's an extremely hard working, dedicated person who knows his shit, it just doesn't translate that well. That being said nothing will top how completely dull Katie Joel was. Oh and did anyone read Padma's autobiography "Love Loss & What We Ate"? I

Exactly, I was like cool story Zach.

Are we really doing Affiliate links in the book reviews now? Isn't that like a big no-no when it comes to journalism? This is a new thing right? To be clear, I am totally fine with ads on the site, etc. but it seems like this could effect the sort of reviews that are given (way more likely to buy an "A" than a "C")

So can we just say this shows owes a LOT to Dollhouse. Or Maybe Dollhouse owed it to Crichton? Either way going off this, how long before a key member of staff is a robot?

The first five minutes of this was so amazing. I wish I knew other people (in real life) that watched this.

1. The nurses spelling their "favorite word" MURDER is so basic.
2. All the confused running around in the woods is getting old.
3. Angela Basset's daughter shows up and like immediately starts talking to ghosts and she is like "oh whatever, this is just a thing!"
4. If you "stumble upon a delightful old farm house"

Can we just talk about how Jason Patrick is so amazingly better at acting than Matt Dillon that the performance alone is making this show B-level.

Very surprised at the "A" here.  This book was certainly well-written, but it was also relentlessly depressing without any real resolution or point.  I get that part of the book was the idea that "life goes on as normal" even in the face of catastrophe, but I felt as though some of the plot threads should have at

I was not hated nearly as much as I thought I would be for saying this. I think I found the crab thing particularly weird because then afterward they want to a farm that made a big point of being humane. Um…

At the risk of sounding PETA-ish…
…the shots of crabs being baked, chopped in half, sauteed alive was a bit much. I know this goes on in kitchens, but I am not totally sure I want to see it on a 60 inch flat screen.

The Predator Uses Geometry!
I used to have a boyfriend who was obsessed with this movie. His mom was an 8th grade math teacher and every time we watched it she would point out that The Predator uses geometry to discover where Arnold is in that one scene.
Way to ruin everything with math, math teachers.

Personal Velocity
