And pretty much all of the cheese you can get here is pasteurized anyway!  (Unlike the deliciously stinky cheeses of France).  The chance of getting listeria is practically nil.  I'd guess more people get sick from bagged salad than cheese over here.

AAAAAAAAAAAAGH, damn you for reminding me of those!   I live in an area with no Trader Joe's now.  (I'm just about willing to drive 4 hours to buy more, though).

When I was living in the UK a few years ago, they had some awesomely weird flavors (by US standards)-  my favorite was Cheese and Pickle.  Wish I could get some of those right now…
