Man, watching Charlotte develop as a wrestler since joining the main roster has been so nice to see (especially with other NXT callups facing so much difficulty). She also seems a good deal more durable than most—takes the heavy workload in such good stride that I forget just how much she's doing till I see it written

That said, in unguarded moments—like talk show interviews—Reigns does exhibit a charisma that would probably work better for today's audience than the Rock's kind would, being less brash. Not much chance of him honing that, though, with the way things are now.

I gotta say, I'm super into the lashes, in all their excess.

Hmm. I got frustrated enough with the pretentiousness of the first season that I stopped watching around episode four or five. But I caught episode 6 of season 2 late last week and found the show improved—or just more tolerable, maybe, now that (SPOILERS?) certain questions with obvious answers had been, well,

I've found it gets even better when you see how Glenn Howerton and the rest of the cast struggled to get through that scene: https://www.youtube.com/wat…

The close quarters at Full Sail help pretty much every gimmick and character that really shines in NXT. Even Enzo and Cass, popular with casuals as they are now, struggled to have their lines land without it.

SPOILERS?

I love how dutiful Mr. Peanutbutter was repeating that first one after Captain.

"[The Hunger Games in The] Hunger Games, the Death Race in Death Race 2000 and the Battle Royale in Battle Royale": sensing a theme in the way these properties have been titled. Also, aren't contests to the death contests to the death, not sports…?

Seems to me they went ahead with it hoping the gimmick would translate to folks who know something of it from watching Enzo and Cass. But she's separated from them, obviously—and just as significant, I think what casual viewers see as "lovable scamp" coming from Enzo just feels outdated and unlikable coming from

Just want to leave a little note of appreciation for the brilliant casting of Tom Brooke as Fiore. The guy looks like he stepped right out of the comics.

I think the plot keeps the characters too on edge around each other for the chemistry between the actors to be palpable, but when you watch their scene together in "See," it swings to a goddamn hundred. At least for me.

A Ron Donald Do or a Ron Donald Don't?

Yes—that Ambrose win made my heart sing. It was just so unexpected!

Oh, of course—I agree with you and @ancientshenanigan:disqus on that front. I just feel for him having to put up with the eye-rolling shit it involves, like the (gratuitous and silly) "loser" thing from Stephanie.

Props to Reigns for taking this whole reversal of fortune like a champ. And tonight, man, what a show. Charlotte's struggle not to smile when Sasha got the belt! Sasha getting the damn belt! Finn on the main stage! Braun Strowman's new hair! Poor James Ellsworth getting laughed at by the announce team! Corey Graves on

The most wrenching part of "Downer Ending" for me is that faint, solitary bird call in the silence after Bojack asks Diane to tell him he's good. I find that episode sadder than "Escape from LA"—which for me gets weirdly triumphant by the time Bojack's driving back from New Mexico, the way things can when you've

I've found episode 7 is a nice starting point if you find the first few episodes hard to get into. The writing/plotting gets more adventurous, and things really start coming together.

And her likability does work in her favor at her best moments heeling. I still smile every time I think of "It's about me, ha ha!" in that Natalya-Charles Robinson segment.
