Mm, probably. There are rumors from Jax's absence from recent NXT tapings/shows, though. I also feel like main roster bookers—well, Vince—would appreciate the "harmony" of putting performers they consider "similar" (read: of color) together. Not that I have much to justify that misgiving.

I don't think Sasha's partner will be Bayley—feels like the rivalry's too good not to capitalize on it when calling Bayley up. Nia Jax, maybe? There's an alignment problem there, of course—but Jax is related to the Rock, and of course that makes her the wrestler fans want to see…

I want to think he did, but the shot of the fire extinguisher in Tulip's living room before we saw what went down with the dog makes me think it was just her. But then I doubt Cassidy would've survived long enough for Tulip to find him if Jesse hadn't put him out…

"James Patterson" is a little much, no? Keep in mind we're not seeing the Preacher story proper yet—-we're still in the prequel stage, watching the characters in a different context. Give it time.

That drunk driving thought experiment is a scintillating example of how tortured MRA-style rationalization gets to be.

"Ryan Phillippe! It's Ryan Phillippe!"
I've been enjoying the show quite a bit. Especially what they've done with Jesse, as understandably unpopular as it's been with diehard fans of the comic.

Although another show did what I think of as the "convenient son" plot recently—Bloodline—and it actually turned out pretty well. The Americans has even surer hands behind it that that show does, so I'd like to think they'll be able to make it work.

I'd agree with you. I think Graceland was actually meant to mark USA's shift to darker, more complicated fare. I remember watching it and being kind of surprised at the Shield-lite vibe I was getting.

It wasn't even "say it to our faces," really—it was "say it to our face," and man, that singular took it to a whole new level…

It's always guys and places with him…

I'm digging "railspark coldness," though.

“Well, do you need the cannibalism?” And this from the network that aired The Following? (Though perhaps they stopped short of cannibalism in that show…)

I shouldn't be reading this comment section at work! This is like the third time I've laughed out loud, people are starting to notice…

I actually enjoy Jim Butcher, for the most part — helps that I started reading the Dresden Files when I was a teen — but his work requires a lot of patience with this penchant for snark that writers of urban fantasy tend to depend on (as well as an irritatingly moralistic protagonist in Dresden himself), so I'm never

Brona, maybe?

Hmm…I wonder if Richard is in fact aggressively principled. His concept of obligation feels to me like the kind that comes when you have few principles—that is, when you don't know too much, consciously, about where you stand on things. So in the moments your subconscious, vague notions of how things should be are

Particularly loved Erlich checking his hand after he lost his place at "Deviled eggs."

Judging someone for how they dress is one thing; axing someone for it seems extreme.

Didn't see this in 2006, but I like the low-budget KITH vibe. Kelly feels like a Mark McKinney character.

Oh man, same.
