"Canon" isn't the same as "essential". The mobisodes, for instance, are definitely canon, but I don't think most viewers like the idea of having to do homework in order to get the gist of a tv show, so they can't put essential information in them (although that one with Christian and the dog is pretty nifty.)

"Ugly Beatty" just made me shoot Diet Coke out of my nose. "Warren Beatty just wants to fit in as the newest assistant at a fabulous New York fashion magazine."

Kate was awesome in her first big scene - the one where they're running from the smoke monster and she hides in the reeds and counts to herself. And I really liked her in the recent scene where she hears an intruder in Aaron's room. She can pull off badass. And she and Sawyer have hot, hot chemistry. The problem

Well, Faraday isn't exactly a household name. I have no doubt John Locke is aware of his name's significance. All the Biblical names aren't really something you'd remark on - a lot of people take names from the Bible, and it's not like we have any Ezekiels or Elijahs running around. Kelvin is a character only

"why did Richard only send a 90 pound chick to watch Daniel while he unarmed the bomb? Seems like that was an important job, so maybe he should've sent Widmore with her."

Richard seems non-violent to me. And that's a pretty big experiment, wiping out a life.

Well, the birth was a flashback. Looks like Desmond didn't waste much time. However, if little Charlie does become important to the island, I will read it as in keeping with this season's "island flashbacks", which is where I think they are going.

There was a moment tonight (I think it was when young Charles Widmore was revealed), that I actually yelled Boo-Yah at my screen, like, much louder than I'd intended. My neighbors tend to avoid me when I run into them on the street.

The Others might have ancient roots, but there sure are a lot of British accents running around. Also, they seem to know what an H-bomb is. I would say at least some of them are newer recruits, and Latin would make more sense than Navajo or Greek if they are British, right? Also - it's the language of the

Well, Ben aged, so I don't think the island is a fountain of youth. And 1954 Richard definitely didn't seem to know about or believe in time travel. The only mystical thing about him that I picked up on was his knowledge of Jacob.

Well, everyone I talk to who is not from Massachusetts thinks Boston is 15 minutes from everything else in Mass, so, to the rest of the world, that's a real easy cab ride.

Also, I guess I don't really want her to be a renegade. One of the things that differentiates this show from The X-Files is that the threat isn't (wholly, anyway), from within. Olivia works out in the open, for a well-supported division of the FBI, and is generally trusted and believed. Yet, she, and the world, are

Yeah, but she didn't even create the unit. It's Daniels's baby, he heads it up. Mr. I-will-annoy-you-with-accounting should really be talking to Old Baldy, right?

In an arguably less cool bit of synergy, I believe the mother of the lab assistant was played by the same actress who portrayed "Gram" on Dawson's Creek. Now if only Michelle Williams wasn't off having a respectable film career, we could get her to cameo as Carla in the flashbacks.

Astrid and Peter sitting in a T-R-E-E
So, was Astrid glancing at Peter flirtatiously at the beginning, or was that just healthy suspicion? You know I want those two crazy kids to make it happen, and Walter was giving them a stimulating lecture on aggressive sexuality in females…. I sense a love triangle, or possibly

Yeah - it's definitely way to early to pile budgetary constraints on our scrappy little group of freak-fighters. Nothing boosts an episodes excitement level like a nice long discussion about appropriations.

I have the same question Porkchop. Did the guy sell him a lemon?

Does anyone else remember Ms. Morrison as the 'slow' girl in, I think, Stir of Echoes? She does a fine job, but it's an upwards battle trying to convince an audience that this woman is anything other than lovely.

I agree. He's a little like old school Foreman, but with more of a sense of humor and less of a chip on his shoulder. Why they decided to under use the most recognizable new cast member is beyond me. I mean, I get it, 13 is pretty. Next?

That's the thing - I think Chase probably would have told him to keep his mouth shut, but not for the reasons he gave, and not so quickly and unambiguously. Chase is a pragmatist - if there was a way to keep Foreman's medical career intact and allow him plenty of guilt-free sex with 13, that's the train Chase would
