I have to disagree, I understand exactly what he means yet I can't explain it rationally or well.  Maybe……..I'm only as smart as Matt Skiba from Alkaline Trio.  Maybe not even that smart.

I suppose you're right but it does seem that music is one of the few artforms where being good at making it does not mean you in anyway understand what makes it good.
Talking about it is like dancing to architecture as Frank Zappa said (and then all his sons probably said it too, for money and cause fuck it all)

Shia The Beef was good in 'A guide to recognising your saints', better than Robert Downey Jr.  I don't like his hair or his nose though mostly.

It almost sounds like that James Bond one where he spins the car, which they actually did.  It's not in reverse though.

If you're picking songs of the sacred sort.  Jesus blood never failed me yet, the version with Tom Waits is an abomination.  Having him sing with this genuine bum who's at the end of his life just shows up how phoney and theatrical Waits style is.  At other times I love the man but I don't know why they thought it was

I don't think it's fair really to blame the musicians for not trying to come up with well thought out reasons for not liking pieces of music.  Most songs you dislike you just dislike for purely sonic reasons (everyone seems to say their hatesongs make them feel sick/nauseous.  Plus I'm sure most of them don't read the

Cheers.  Forgot to say that when I first read this.

It's about a pair of trousers that are too small for a tiny boy

Does anybody else use twitchfilm?  I quite like the site and it has pointed me in the direction of some great films I never would have heard of otherwise.  Now right now I am on quite alot of ecstasy and it is making me overly emotional but the phrase they use to describe themselves, "leading voices in global cinema"

I want this movie, but about Old School.

Trash Humpers did get a little boring in places and the murder bit was poorly done I thought but was still a hilarious and sweet movie.  Everything else he's done I've loved really, none of them are perfect but they don't really need to be.

Gerard Butler has fat hands.

I don't know.  I just get this feeling off Beck of dispassion.  Just a well educated music professional, similar to an architect or something.  A stylish architect who's good at their job but nothing more than that.

Agreed on Millar.  He's so shit it gives me hope.

Super 8 was fucking shite

Their version of The Limerick Rake has to get some love, that's one of my favourites.

The Pogues version of Rake at the gates of Hell from look em in the eye is unreal.  Far better than the slovenly Popes version

After obsessive listening to every album I've come to rest on Red Roses For Me as my favourite.  It might not be the most advanced but it's the least boring and most likely to get stuck on if I'm going drinking

Such a tune, every line is golden
