After "I'll have to be a robber," this was the joke of the night for me.

Shhh, @ClarenceEwing:disqus might find out that the US has the most progressive income tax system of any OECD country. Then he'd have no reason to be polarized.

The political slant of the show is sort of in the basic underlying presentation of the characters: Leslie thinks government can and should do more to help people, whereas Ron is the standard liberal straw man version of a conservative that conflates limited government with bad government. And when the two disagree,…

I can't tell if @avclub-ca157d1a1382fd3eb266129b96bdba74:disqus is making a joke or making @avclub-d324a0cc02881779dcda44a675fdcaaa:disqus's point.

I thought it was good. B&K and the Mindy Project actually gave me the opposite experiences I was anticipating: this was, as the co-reviews said, a solid, complete episode, and MP felt a little like sketch comedy.

I'm assuming that since Fancy Man sent his daughter to her school, it was a private school. Maybe Jess trying to pull a Dangerous Minds in the LA public school system will be a story arc. I can already see the guys doing a rendition of Gangster's Paradise.

Sims likes these episodes because he hates recurring sketches so much he can't wait for some of these to become recurring sketches. He hates long sketches, but wishes these sketches had been longer. He thinks weirdness is the key to a good sketch, not actually being funny. In other words, we shouldn't worry about…

To a certain extent, this is the problem the show has had post-Ferrell. The entire cast can be very good if they get good material to work with, but they can't manufacture the funny on their own. The writers have rarely given them good material, though. Maybe Kate MacKinnon feels out of place to me because she's…

It was funny because it was so brief. Sometimes people mistake funny for good, because the point of this show is to make you laugh. The point of Weekend Update Thursday, on the other hand, appears to be to boost The Big Bang Theory's already impressive ratings.

So that's how the Bri-ish do it; what are the voter ID laws in Australia, where voting is mandatory?
